can't get my trans dipstick out

    I can't get my transmision dipstick out of my 03' Legacy L wagon to check the fluid. Anybody have this problem and how did you get it resolved?
    I tried some wd-40 around the top and twisted it a bit but I don't want to break the yellow top off.
