Hi there, I have a 06 WRX with 60k miles. A couple days ago I found my rear-right outside brake pad is completely gone where the inside still have about 2mm. I changed the pad yesterday for the rear axle and got it bed in. Today, I tried testing my brake when I drive to work, I noticed the car would slightly pull to the right when I brake a little bit harder. I'm not sure what could be wrong like alignment, stuck piston?

    Any suggestion?

If your rotors are uneven thickness, one could be heating up faster than the other. That's usually only in extreme conditions, tho.

The road is also crowned. Keep that in mind. Does it do it on both sides of the road?

    Probably just placebo effect.

I tried that on both sides of the road, and both pulls to the right.

I just jacked up the car's rear with the hand brake down. I turned the wheel on both sides and they feel the same too.

I'm out of idea, though I'm going to flush the brake fluid to see if that helps.

rear pad gone, then replaced..but car pulls to the right (before and after?) It's more than likely not the rear brakes doing anything to make the car pull one way or another. I'd inspect the front brakes, tie-rods, front tire wear, etc...

And don't forget, if the car pulls right, make sure you are checking the driver side to make sure the caliper is working properly. It might pull right because that is the side that is working properly, not grabbing too much.

You may be being vague, but if you changed just one pad, like bora28 said, and not the other one, and not the rotor... that is baaaad mkay? You need to put in 2 new pads as well as a new rotor, as I imagine your rotor was damaged by applying the brakes without a pad. Also, if you want even balance, you should do both sides at the same time.

Haha..sorry. When I said I changed pad for the rear axle, I meant 4 pads. 2 per side. I did not change the rotor as its thickness is still within range. I actually ended up changed the front too.

I am currently flushing the fluid right now.

also try cleaning and lubing slides and make sure u didnt twist one of the brake hoses before u re-installed the caliper... those could cause a brake pull too
p.s. glad to know u arent an idiot

you slide pins could be sticking if you didnt lube them as well causing the pad to stick

check your slides in the calipers and see if there sticking or hanging up.put some caliper lube on them and work them so they slide freely
