That's a cool video! I wanna drive a lap of Isle of Man now. Better than boring old Nürburgring. Haha
The biometric data is pretty cool. I'd like to see what the entire lap looked like. I don't know how Subaru pulls this off. I still don't think they are allowing anyone else to run cars there.
I saw that the other day. Needs Spec B gears! He was just sitting at redline in 6th gear for some parts!
This is why whenever you do a track day you take an instructor. Do not be this guy... http://www.carthrottle.com/this-nis...driving-will-put-you-off-track-days-for-life/
If you are familiar with Chris Harris you can appreciate the look on his face in a quick ride in the Hoonicorn. http://blog.caranddriver.com/watch-...-thrill-ride-in-the-845-hp-hoonicorn-mustang/
This one impressed me more than Kenny from the Block... I also added this truck to my Christmas wish list! Lol
I was kind of over the Block Gymkhana videos after the first few, but #7 was actually pretty fun again. Man I would love to have a sequential gearbox in the car - sucks that an 8-10k motorcycle have one along with a wet multiplate clutch, way better quality adjustable suspension and brakes, etc but you have to move way up in the car price range to get anything even approaching that!
I'll never understand why it's shocking news when protesters get hit by a vehicle. Get out of the f**king road... On a different note, anybody ever seen the episode of Wheeler Dealers where they flip a bugeye wrx? Must've been a re-run they played during the Thanksgiving weekend. Pretty cool minus the stripes they put on it.

When I miss driving the STI during the winter, I just go back and watch these. I miss launch control lol.
Driving Subaru's WRX STI Rally Car Will Melt Every Part Of Your Brain http://jalopnik.com/driving-subarus-wrx-sti-rally-car-will-melt-every-part-1681128647
So awesome. I found myself at the head of that trail (and some other of the best offroad trails in the country) in a lifted Tacoma this last September. Unfortunately, it wasn't my truck (Grandpa Dave's), I was by myself, with a broken collar bone, and I was shuttle bitch for 5 other guys mountain biking very similar trails. It inspired me to go a completely different direction with my off-road build (4.3Runner will be for sale in the spring), and I'll be back. In a vehicle capable of running the 4x4 trails, and in a condition to ride the single track, too.
My son and I did that trail this summer, we skipped the "Bathtubs" but we did Hell's Gate which isn't in that video. There were many times I screamed like a girl driving over those obstacles, easily the most intense experience I've had in a vehicle. We rented a Jeep in town and I was super impressed that in 100+ degree heat with the AC on it can run in 4LO all day long at <1 MPH. Do recommend.
WTF, people actually use Land Rovers for off-roading? I thought Land Rovers only had 4 wheel drive so all the pissed-off soccer moms can run people over in the mall parking lot.
No, they're meant for soccer moms. But occasionally there are brave souls that attempt to do the unthinkable!
