Yeah they're really not that cool, more of a status symbol. "Oh look at me I have more money than you"!
A lot of rich people have no taste. That Bugatti is proof. WTF is that graphic scheme supposed to be?
I think for 2.25 million I could think of quite a few other cars, multiple for that matter, that I would rather have. That Saleen is a good start!
I've driven this CTSV. Given, i only backed it up out of the garage and parked it in the street. But i have driven it none the less! Lol Was his 54 Studebaker there? Red, white, and supercharged!
All of my C&C shots can be found here.. https://www.flickr.com/photos/ericvilendrer/ No no no... you guys missed this gem! Spotted some Subarus. Who is who? T_riggidy
Lol, Ben. I tried a couple times to gauge where it needed to be in correlation of where I was standing but it was too hard with them moving. Trent.. I use a B+W filter. I love it, but they are pricey. You may want a neutral density filter as well.
Probably could have just "thrown away" one car as it passed and used it to set the CPL for the windshield at the right angle. Then just never touch the CPL and don't move. Seems like it would be easy enough. I have a cheap $25 Tiffen 77mm CPL from Amazon. I really only use it for non-paid photos so I have a hard time justifying something more expensive. I have UV filters on all my lenses for events. I have a mix of B&W and Hoya. I always seemed to prefer B&W but recently it seems that Hoya are way easier to clean so I might start favoring them.
Yup. Absolutely must go. I've been promising the minion and keep bailing. It's set in stone. I will probably shoot for 9:00 arrival or so. No interest in another early morning and recently it's still going strong by then.
Yup! I'm going with two buddies. Going to try to get a wicked sweet parking spot... In the spectator lot car has some rust now that's getting taken care of end of sept.
I would have been down for sure....but it's almost time to leave, so I'll just wing it! See ya there!
I don't think so this time around. It sounds now like we may be taking the AMX. I should know in a few and I'll post if we do. Since I'm not trying to get in w the WRX we aren't leaving until 7:15/7:30.
I have to admit, she is a dirty pig lol! Got some points and looks on the way out from true car drivers that appreciate the fact it's got mud all over it, it's a sti for heavens sake
Great turn out today! There were a number of good looking subies! The Alfa Romeo 4C was probably one of my favorites this time around, along with the old Citroen (forget the model) coupe. The older gentleman who drove it was quite friendly and clearly incredibly proud of the beautiful machine. One of the organizers (didn't catch his name, but wore a bright yellow hoodie today) was super friendly. We were able to chat with him for a few minutes before helping him push the Porsche that died in the middle of the main intersection of AutoMotorPlex off to the side. I have to say, overall I felt like the Subarus represented a variety of tastes well. It was really cool to see the Putnam rally STi, and my favorite Subie was the WRB bugeye wagon with the front end sedan conversion. Not to go on a rant or rag on anyone specific, but please pay attention when driving in and around AutoMotorPlex. I noticed two guys on their phones, and just not paying attention. There are too many pedestrians around for that. I know that it wasn't just Subie drivers that were guilty of that, but from one Subie driver to another, please represent us well. Excited for next month's C&C already!
Is October the last one for the year? I'd like to make it to at least one more. Word. I'd like to see it in "kicked out" status.
I saw two groups of people stop to check out your ride @Ryan FailRad . Good to catch up and chat a bit this morning!
Yes it was, next month I'll bring that relocation part. Maybe next time I'll bring it inside for people to look at...
