Looking for someone with a catless system I could take a look/smell at. I have an 02 wrx.

I'm currently in the process of going catless. Well possibly. Can't decide wether to gut the 3rd cat or leave it. Yes even after searching here and at nasioc and reading all I could.

So if someone has a completely gutted stock exhaust that would be an exact match to what I am doing and would be a great comparison for me.

Let me know if you're in the nw suburbs and can meet me so I can check it out.

    Thanks all

I'm in uptown. 2.0L WRX, zero cats. You're welcome to smell. I say go for it.

Plymouth. I'm running a 2.2T with no cats and a stock muffler on my Legacy. It's not *too* stinky.

Yeah I think i've decided that ill just gut that last cat and give it a go. if it bothers me enough i'll swap a cat pipe back in.

Whats the worst that can happen. Its not like my exhaust smells like roses as is.

I'll post up when after its installed and give my .02

    Thanks for posting up everyone.

I think the smell is hardly a noticeable difference.

Good deal. Excited that I have a project to do when I get home today.

Gut 3rd cat. Looks like it'll be a piece of cake compared to the up and downpipe that I already guttetd.

    Thanks for the info all

I think it smells pretty good, especially if you put in a gallon or 2 of race gas every now and then.

IDK if anyone has a full catless stock setup but all I get with my setup is a whiff now and then with the windows down after coming to a stop. The smell to me is very much like a two stroke in smell, definitely not a bad smell IMO as far as the race gas goes ... oh that smells good! ;)

    But of course offroad.

Especially considering the condition many of our roads are currently in.

yeah, speaking of which, i was in duluth this weekend and every road is like off roading.:eek4:

If i was going to do it again I would've gone with a high flow cat in my downpipe....but that's just me
