So I have an 06 wrx and was discussing future projects with a friend and my first upgrade is going to be a 3" full cat back exhaust w/ 3" down pipe. and so the question came up:

When replacing an up pipe, does one go with the catless up pipe?

Sure, with a quality pipe that is.
And that's if you want to go through with the labor and such, if not, leave alone and save money for something else.

No, dont replace it, until u go EWG! For the amount of labor and time u would spend, u could gain much more other places. Urs should be cat-less anyway I believe, right?

thanks for the input, seems like this is a very highly debated subject. i'll have to see if its worth the money when it comes down to it
