So, a bunch of turbo Subaru models, including my LGT, have this troublesome blue vacuum line tee. It's notorious for having the hoses pop off causing vacuum/boost leaks. It is located under the intercooler on some models and near the factory BCS on others.

I went out to source a quality replacement and came up with this guy:

    (click for full-size)

This was a early sample sent to me, the production version will be nickel plated. The fit is perfect and the barbs are sharp. It has great holding power and the single barb design is less likely to leak than multiple barbs. I'm still going to use zip ties, but honestly I doubt you'd need them.

    Any interest here?

Looks pretty nice. How much? I just use the plastic ones from the HELP! section at the auto parts store.

What size are the barbs? How much is Priority shipping costing you? First Class in a padded envelop should only be $2.07.

I'd rather ship Priority because of the tracking included. I'm going to stop by the post office today and get a better idea.

First class might be ok too, tracking adds $.90 and peace of mind... I would also need to pay for mailers too, but they're wonderfully cheap on Amazon.

    *edit*

    Opinions?
    First Class w/tracking & mailer: $3.10
    Priority Flat Rate: $5.95

For you guys I think the speed would be the same, further out Priority would be faster.

    Oh, and to answer this...
Larger fitting measures .256" on the flat and .298" on the barb.
Smaller fitting measures .189" on the flat and .223" on the barb.

***Update! Tees now available from Company23!***

You've probably seen the threads, or maybe even had the issue yourself - vacuum lines popping off the stock plastic "blue tee" under the intercooler. The combination of oil in the lines, no barb, and boost makes this tee a common trouble spot for '05-'06 Legacy GTs and other Subaru models. The lines slip off the tee resulting in a vacuum/boost leak and all of the related issues.

I went out looking for a suitable replacement and came up with this. I began selling these as a homebrew vendor here with the blessing of the mods.

    Construction:
The tees are nickel plated brass and should hold up to any abuse you throw their way. They are designed with a single barb on each port for great holding power and a good seal. The tees are made right here in the USA! Company23 will include high quality cable ties to secure your lines to the tee.

    Pricing:
    Tees are $8.95 + shipping.

    Installation:
Installation is simple, remove your intercooler (guides elsewhere) and locate the stock tee near the center rear of the intake manifold. Pull the lines off the stock tee and install your new barbed tee. Use the provided cable ties to secure the lines to the tee. I recommend you also cable tie the other end of the inake manifold line to the intake manifold. I've included a fourth cable tie for this purpose. For more information, see Company23's install guide here.

    Ordering:
You may order from Company23 at this link: http://www.company23.com/VacuumT

    Thank you and happy boosting!

Look at me all legit and stuff with a vendor account

    <-------------------

Thanks to the staff here (BroCo in particular) for making that a very easy process.

And thanks again pillboy for your order, looks like it should show up in your mailbox today!

Good news: Shipping is turning out to be cheaper than expected. More like $2 than $4. I've updated the pricing on my PayPal link and I've taken the difference so far and donated it to the Wounded Warrior Project.

If you'd still like a $2 refund I can do that too, just send me a PM. [IMG]

Bad news: I'm sold out already :frantic: More on the way!

I'm also offering 1/4" nipple replacement EBCS fittings now. Several aftermarket turbos and wastegate actuators come with 1/4" barb fittings and require you to use reducers in the EBCS lines. Replacing your EBCS fittings will allow you to run reducer-free and have fewer points of failure. They will fit any MAC valve based EBCS like the GrimmSpeed, COBB, or AEM.

    The fittings
    [IMG]

    Fittings installed in the EBCS
    [IMG]

    EBCS installed in the car
    [IMG]

    Construction:
The fittings are nickel plated brass and should hold up to any abuse you throw their way. They are designed with a single barb each for great holding power and a good seal. The tees are made right here in the USA! I will include high quality cable ties to secure your lines to the fittings.

    Pricing:
One set of fittings and ties is $20 shipped anywhere in the USA. Payments may be sent via PayPal using the links below.

    Shipping:
The fittings will be shipped USPS First Class with tracking in a padded bubble mailer. Other shipping methods are available at additional cost. Post here or send me a PM to inquire.

    Installation:
You will need to pick up some 1/4" vacuum line at your local parts store.
I considered including it, but it would add too much to the shipping costs. Installation is pretty simple - remove your EBCS from the car and remove it's stock fittings. Clean up any sealant left in the ports and install your new fittings. The thread is 1/8" NPT, so you should be able to tighten them one or two turns past finger tight. I'd recommend the use of some sort of thread sealant - just don't go crazy and get too much inside the EBCS body. Re-install using your new 1/4 vacuum line. The new line should stretch and fit the port on your intake, just take your time getting it on there. Cable tie all the connections and you should be good to go. Now enjoy your new reducer-free install!

    Ordering:
The default assortment will be two 90 degree fittings, one straight fitting and six zip ties.
If you would like something else please PM me. Please click the PayPal button below to place your order. If you would like to order a tee with your EBCS fittings, please send me a PM! Please be sure to include your MNSubaru.com UserID in the notes!

    Thank you and happy boosting!

Wow, that's great! I searched all over for these a while back. These will go great on hybrid boost control setups (GrimmSpeed's MBC uses the larger nipples).

Hey turkey, got it and looks great, just haven't had time to pull the rat's nest apart to install it yet :p

Question, would it also work for installing a boost gauge inline with the stock BPV hose? IIRC that's 6mm ID, and then you could run the 3.5/4mm hose to the boost gauge?

Yes! The line that comes with most boost gauges is smaller in diameter, but I've had several people report that it works just fine.

Sweet! Maybe you could make a new model of the tee that has the smaller outlet barb size, with a built-in restrictor to prevent gauge buzz? That would be handy :D
