ok, today driving home, 5th gear, 60-65 mph. the car stuttered. blew cel,
car 2006 wrx, 60,000 miles, mods, perrin drop in filter, cat back with silencer removed, cobb stage 1.
    checked code then cleared.

Your wastegate needs to be tightened. IIRC, this was a common problem with stage 2 WRX, MY2006 with aftermarket exhaust. I have not heard of it happening with stage 1 though. It's no big deal, the wastegate pressure was set too low from the factory. The solution is to tighten the wastegate arm until you get to the correct boost pressure for your setup, then reflash and drive happy. I can show you on Sunday.

5th gear is a pretty heavy load gear and can cause "over boost" i believe. I did it in my buddys 05 sti once. someone can correct me if im wrong
