So I had my Check Engine light come on and the cruise light started to blink at me the other day and I brought it in and the cod was "Nutral Switch High" the car ran fine while the light(s) were on. I had it cleared. So Im wondering what the heck the code means?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? thanks.
yes i did and it caame on after it> a few days after i got it back. cleared it on thursday and happened again sunday going through the gears from a traffic light.....was lightly going then got on a little bit more going i think from 3rd to 4th and it started agin....... so ill have them read the code and see what says..... makes me mad!
only effects cruise, there's a 4pin grey connector on the top of the transmission, make sure it's connected all the way.
I read from my progressive insurance site that there is actually a recall regarding the cruise control.. might want to check it out
that's for 02-04 wrx, there are currently no recalls for 06-07 wrx http://www.cars101.com/recalls.html The neutral position switch doesn't effect drivability, it's just used so you don't set the cruise when you're in neutral. It's a normally open switch from GND so it means it's either disconnected or isn't being triggered when you're in neutral. The ECU is pulling that line high and when the switch is triggered, it brings the line down to GND or low.
I C well when i get the car back...shold be tomorrow. ill look into it. with that said i MIGHT be a LITLLE late to Lake Calhoun...just sayN'
