Oh ok, thanks Dan. With a larger turbo setup would it be benificial to put headers on a 2.0 motor? Or would the stock cross over do the trick? I read that the stock cross over flows 208 cfm.

Define larger. With a 20g it could be 20hp of the equation. With a 40R it could be 50hp.

Everything works together as a system. You only flow as well as your most restrictive point. On anything 20g or less, I wouldn't really waste my time. Your money is better spent elsewhere.

I was making over 300whp using EJ22T heads and the stock exhaust manifold.

Yeah but in your case it was the heads, I do recall a certain straw comment made often :)

Yes, so I'm saying is that the exhaust manifold was not even close to being a major restriction is the system at that point. The heads I'm putting on should give me about 50whp, in theory. On pump gas.

Spend your money elsewhere or save it for a standalone.

Word. At this point what could I get out of a standalone vs tuning the stock ecu? If one is only doing basic bolt-ons with a larger turbo and IC? Getting into a 257 w/ wrx heads I could understand but would one gain an edge on tuning with a standalone?

Meh, prolly not that much power wise. Just versatility. After having my standalone for this long, I'm a huge fan of it. I installed a IC water sprayer for $30. I could meth injection for the cost of a pump and a nozzle, etc. I have no factory ECU bottlenecks to work around.

I can always use it on another kind of motor too. LS6, B20, SR20DET, etc.

Hmmmmm ... I wonder how the SR20 would mate to the factory bell housing? I have yet to find any "crazy" non-Subaru engine swaps.

You can mate any motor to any bellhousing if you really want to. Look what Fobbs is doing.

technically yes it is incorrect but seriously WHO does that.....

most people do it so they can get the drifter/lowrider look

and people who want to mod their cars correctly.. buy the right wheels for their car in the first place

Yeah, but he doesn't have his wheels extended beyond the fenders.
There used to be a chevy lumina and a pontiac grand prix (both a la 92) rolling around a few years ago.
Only one of them had the name in the back. Maybe it's the same guy?
