is the lumina a z34? i used to have one that was pretty quick, i dont remember if they made them in 1994, anyways if its a 5 speed and a z34 it may actually give you a run for you money, they had 215 hp 200 tq, but a 5 speed is so rare, and i doubt its either one, so race him and call him a homo with a pos after he loses
meh, i loved mine, no problems whatsoever, but im talking the 3.4 DOHC, not the weak ass pushrod one found in all new aleros and minivans and crap
I had a 94 lumina in high school. 3.1, and not even a Euro. Bought it for $500. It could light up the tires. Had a big system in it. I beat a neon that said turbo on it for a while, then it passed me. Hit 3 deer with it. Sold it for $750. I was kind of a big deal.
dont want to talk about racing here but one night when he kept saying his Lumina is the best. From a red light, i was behind him, I sure show him what a SUBARU is made of. Next day we came to work he asked me "was that you yesterday that came by me like a bullet?".....I look at him, smiled, and said no its my SUBARU. That shut him up. all he could remember is something coming by fassst and he heard whooosssss......gone..!

ha ha ha.. I had a Datsun 120Y back in OZ and it had a 1.2L engine that I could smoke the wheels too... my buddy had to lift the rear corner so does that mean I could flog a lumina??? I did beat on a V8 Volvo after the 1.4L swap... ha ha Dont think it would have beat teh awesomeness of the luminasty.....

LOL, I got my starting days with corolla's too. It was cool though. Thinking back its just kinda funny. At least Gas on those Prizm/corolla is good for cruising alot.
I'm on my 3rd Subaru. Since I couldn't have a WRX in 1998 and the 2.5RS was new and out of my college price range I had a 96 L. I learned quick that a light AWD car like that can make good use of only 140 lb-ft of torque. Then I whored the engine out to a local shop and it was making 180 lb-ft of torque. Hooray for sleepers!
best sleeper yet to come alive in this world is fuji_k s supa wagon. People think wagons have no power because they just dont look aerodynamically inclined, but once the powerful acceleration and torque comes in, vrooom, its off.
