I updated the paypal list. Make sure if you paid there is a * next to your name. People who have paid can pick a time on the schedule for when to get dynoed.
You don't need a prepayment for a road tune do ya? I'm more than likely gonna come hang out a bit and could be talked into a simple road tune if he's got the time.
To be scheduled you need to send a $100 deposit for ANY scheduled tune. If you want to wait around and possibly get in on a whim for a road tune then you can take your chances but you may not get tuned. Road tunes will only happen if 10 people are scheduled for the dyno because WE HAVE TO have 10 people to get that dyno price. If we are short on people you will only be allowed to do dyno tuning...if we have more than 10 then road tuning is fine.
Does Clark have a phone # I can reach him at? I need to call adn talk over a few small things before i send the deposit. I still plan on being there. Thanks!
You should be getting my MO any day now. Once you do, can you put me down for Sunday at 11:30? thanks
Clark doesnt give out his phone # because he gets too many calls and he is always on the dyno. His e-mail is [email protected] and honestly he gets over 100 emails every day. The best way to reach him is to e-mail or PM me. I can give you his answer off the top of my head for 80% of things and the other 20% I call him for the answer. Most people have the same questions and being around Clark for a long time his answers are always the same so I can just pass those along to other people easier then it is for him to type it. THANKS!!
anyway i can get ahold of clark to make me a base map? i talked with him a week or two ago and he said send the deposit and hel make me one... deposit is sent, ive tried emailing him but havent recieved anything yet.. thanks guys! Matt
Clark regularly charges $150 for a base map but if you have sent a deposit and are getting tuned he charges $50. The reason for this is people have said they are getting tuned and Clark would send them a base map to get to the dyno and then their car would run perfectly with the base map and they wouldnt show up to get tuned because they already got a map that made their car run good. This happened about 2 months ago in Vegas and the guy paid his $100 deposit and never showed up for the tune and he actually told us he wasnt showing up because the car ran good. I hope you understand but its the few rotten eggs that ruin it for the rest of us. If you havent changed your injectors you can drive the car to the dyno on 0psi. If you have changed your injectors sometimes the car wont even start and other times it just dumps fuel. Let me know what you want to do.
Oh heck. I negotiated that price with Clark about 5 days ago bacause people where limping their cars at all cost to the dyno because they didnt want to pay. I will work something out with you LOL Clark is in Cali right now but let me take car of it for you.
well what do i need to pay haha, i need a base map for my sti, and i AM getting tuned for sure. it sucks that people like that would take advantage of Clark and not show for the tune day. unless somthing drastic happens, i will be there!!! thanks for getting back so soon. Let me know if their is more i need to pay for a base map? also the injectors will be in the car when i drive it there Matt
Matt I need a list of your mods and what engine management you are using and an extra $50 sent to [email protected] when you're ready.

You'll have to excuse my ignorance since I am new to the Subaru side of things coming from the Evo. Who is Clark Turner? Is he one of the best or better tuners in the country, I have never heard of him. What business does he represent? Also, if I were to purchase the COBB Stage 2 catted TBE with APv2 and crank pulley could I put it on the Dyno and would Clark be able to use the Protune or Street Tuner software to make 2 custom maps one 93 octane for everyday use, and a 100 octane map that I could download to the APv2 and switch between? Also, how much load is simulated for everyday driving. This is my daily driver, if doing WOT pulls are the only method used to tune how does that simulate real world driving under different situations like partial throttle, lugging around, temperatures and seasonal situations? If I get the car tuned in the Spring and then summer rolls around and than winter how will the car behave, what about if I load it up with 4 passengers? Thanks for the comments/information.
Clark Turner tuned for Kingpin, I believe, then I think he worked at Vivid. Not the best track record in terms of association, but he has done a very good job and is very competant from what I've seen on Nasioc. Not sure who he is affiliated with now, but his name carries him at this point. I'm sure Clark can tune your AP for Stage2 on whatever gas you want. It wouldn't be a very complicated setup to tune for. As far as load is concerned, you might consider having a road tune instead of a dyno tune. Most tuners, Clark included, can probably get you close on the dyno in terms of partial throttle and daily driving drivability. My setup last year was tuned on a dyno and was very drivable on the road. A Stage2 setup shouldn't be much of an issue for this either, as there is alot of information to go off of already. Thousands of people are running a very similar setup so he probably has a map to start with and would likely just tweak that map to get the most out of your car.

Yeah, you are going to have to start paying somebody to drive your car around town soon to break in in. lol.
Hahaha, they'd have to pay me to drive it around at this point. And I can't think of anyone on this site that would baby that car the way I would want it babied during the break in.
Most of the time I'm sitting at home is spent trying to find a way to fill your shoes with feces while you are at work using only my mind.
So... How much for a road tune on 03 wrx open ecu, I'll have headers, uppipe, tbe( no cats anywhere), ebay fmic, intake, bullseye 16g, modded stock injectors 780cc. What are the advantages to dyno tune other than to get numbers?
