I have an 06 wrx with spt intake, gm boost controller, full tbe, and a tune by nuke. My car recently started making a very loud clicking noise when I downshift to slow down. It sounds from the driver's seat that it is coming from the boost control/turbo area of the motor but I'm not sure. 1) what is going on? and 2) is this a serious issue? Any input is appreciated!

Not gonna preach here, but I personally try to avoid engine braking - avoid stressing all those drivetrain components. Much easier and cheaper to replace pads and rotors...
