hey guys, I have almost 78k miles on my 05 LGT and the clutch is starting to squeak and click with I push it in and let it out, im sure I just need to replace my clutch but I was just wondering if anyone might know if it is just the clutch or maybe something else too? (hopefully just the clutch) thanks!
My 2011 WRX did this about a thousand miles off the lot. I had the clutch master cylinder replaced under warranty and that took care of the problem for about 6 months. Now the click is back and louder than ever....
The OEM clutch in my '05 LGT lasted until 68k miles. For 32k of those miles I was making 400 awhp, but stayed away from launching the car. It held surprisingly well. I replaced it with an '07 WRX flywheel and ACT HD full face disk. Good stuff. With that said, have you changed clutch fluid and/or bled the master cylinder?
pretty sure there's a thread from 06-07 about this... or something very similar to what you're describing... I know Nuke and I were having the same issue on our 06 wrxs... There's a switch that can be greased. edit: found the nasioc thread... can't find our discussion about it on mnsubaru, but I vaguely remember there being pics and links and such... http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=932614&highlight=clutch+squeek+switch+grease
No sir I haven't done any of that ive had the car for about 9 months now and haven't had any issues till this noise and "weak" feeling in the clutch
