When I first start the car in the morning, the first few times I disengage the clutch, unless I really tach it up and burn the clutch excessively the first 10-15 times, it shudders somewhat violently. The symptoms subside usually around the same time the car approaches full running temp, and don't come back unless the car sits for quite a long time, i.e. overnight.

My clutch never slips under normal use, behaves pretty normally other than this. My first idea is leaking rear main seal, but it's not leaving puddles and doesn't appear to be losing oil. Ideas?

Pretty common, pretty much matters on how the clutch was broken-in.

I've noticed my stock clutch in my 07 is a bit picky in the morning, but never anywhere close to violent.

Common. I know there is a TSB out for 'cold clutch judder' for 02-03 models (I think).

You learn to shift around it.

Oh yeah, good point. ~142k miles, not sure if the clutch is original or not, I'm sure it's factory though. I've only had the car for a few months.

Sounds like there's not much to worry about though

Would have rode the Honda today, except that I had no coffee cup holder on the bike. Try to not ride in when I'm not quite awake yet. I'd hate to do something stupid on the bike cuz i'm tired.

The clutch isnt flat anymore, sometimes you can fix it with a nice good slip, somtimes not, I would deal with it before slipping the sht out of it.
