Cobb STG2 STi vs Stock STi minus muffler

Here's a vid of a Cobb Stage 2 STi vs. a stock STi with no muffler. Like I predicted, not much of a gain from stock to stage 2. :lol:

I'm seeing 50-50 on that. Besides how definitive is two skreet races? Not to mention I'm getting a different stg 2 map right shortly from Ben and also the white sti may or may not have the same dp. Also what if the mufflerless had a better driver than the white one? Not convinced...2 many variables.

 

All you have to do is frum roll with Jason again (on a closed course, duh) and see what the outcome is :lol:

 

I never claimed to be t3h f4star....I told you and Jason both that his car would pulverize mine on HP alone not to mention car weight. I'll give it a whirl against Jason but I'm predicting the same outcome.

 

I installed that beast and then test drove... very much f4st4r than before. 20-1*% was floggin insano! And being it gets no more boost cut... the shiz is on now. Jason you would have a good race on your shoulders, but me thinks t3h STi would prove its worthiness!!

 

you know what this means........ forget spending money on cobb parts, and just remove worthless parts form the sti.

 

you guys are not putting nearly enough emphasis on drivers ability as you should be

My friend Steve who has an 05, has raced me before, and i always always always take him to 60 or so. why? because i have learned to launch, and i have had my car longer!

Indeed. Some 91 Civic could beat my 1G, easily.(not with me driving, though ) As always, if you haven't dynoed your car, you DO NOT know where to shift. Say all you want, but every car is different where you should shift, stock or not. How do you guys know that the stg2 wasn't slow shifting or even short shifting? Hell, this "stage 2" might not even be anything but a stocker with an exhaust.

i am going to have to bring my slow car (right Pete) down there next summer once the 5 speed gets in there and come down and do some spirited driving with you guys :lol:

True, however frumroll is only a shift or two in a straight line. I can press the gas all the way down pretty efficiently and in 5th gear where I got the CEL previously. I'd still get pummeled tho 8)
