Does inconel weld to stainless just fine?

 

Inconel is a type of stainless that has a very high nickel content to withstand the extreme temps.Stainless has similar alloys in the mix but in different ratios.They do weld nicely.These were also laser welded so it shouldnt be a problem.

 

Today we will be shifting alot more time into this project.There will be alot more pics to follow.

that DP bend is exactly what I used to make my 4in to 3in TXS 'elephantpenix' DP....

saw parts of this kit today when I was down picking up my car.

Looks great, and ron has a lot of really nice rides around his shop for those who have never made the trip to RS motors. My second time doing business with them, and they really know their stuff.

 

If you thought yesterday was fun wait till you see what today will bring.

I had a hunch. Those welds are just too clean looking. I can only strive to lay down beads like that. Maybe in ten years...

so far.... better welder then i will ever be. he probably has 20 years on me? considering i bought a tig and learned by myself and reading the manual, i think mine dident turn out so bad....
