Is the Subaru branded product intended for "short-term" use or can it be left in for say, a 3,000 miles oil change interval? The Seafoam product makes no mention of this in the directions on the container.

Posting an update-- I drove the car a little bit over the weekend and on Sunday, all the warning lights that were on turned off. So far, they haven't come back on. Hoping it stays that way.

The original warning lights have been intermittently coming back on over the last month +, the code has reset it self a few times and they have gone off for extended periods, and I have had the code reset at a shop once since I had the oil changed. The code read last night was still about the "intake valve control solenoid/vvt." does anyone know, is it an easy task to just buy a replacement solenoid and change it as a next step before I bring it back somewhere?
