He origanally took the truck and did a half assed job. He didn't do the roof and he said he ran out of materials. So we went back and forth for about a month trying to get the job done. He finally came to my work and got the truck to complete the job. He dropped off the truck a couple hours later parking it across the parking lot so the damage was as far away as he could get it and left without comming in to tell me about it or to return the keys.

I went out and inspected the truck and he had still not done the roof. Checking over the rest of the truck he had buffed through the paint on my front fender. I confronted him on the phone and he refused to admit his fault. I told him to come and look at it and explain where the paint went in a couple of hours. He came and looked at the truck and the partial admittal I got from his was "If the paint was there before I took the truck and it's not there now I guess it was me."

I got two estimates in repair to the truck and averaged the cost. I called Dave and let him know I would give him 10 days to get the money to cover the needed repair. To his credit on the tenth day Dave showed up with 1000.00 cash to cover the cost to repair the damage.

I do have some pictures but my camera is packed for vacation.

We've had our eye on this thread for a bit now and trying to figure out the best approach to the issues that have been brought up. For now I'm going to close it until we have a chance to talk with the OP and discuss our concerns and formulate a plan of action.
