Dave's STI Block & General Cylinder Head questions

    The company is called Total Engine...I miss quoted too. 175-250 was the range.

    Anyone know of them??

    Well, I scored some wrx heads pretty cheap. I'd like to clean them up so I can take a better look at them. What should I use as a solvent?

    Also, is it going to be possible/cheap to source internal parts like the camshaft caps and bolts?

    you cannot purchase new caps, I would be leary of running caps from another engine as well.

    the problem is, the head is machined for the camshaft WITH the caps FOR the head, not all caps are gonna be the same.

    I guess not. In the picture it looked like the caps were in place.

    So....looks like I'm SOL????

    Get various caps, install camshaft in head, see if they bind.
