Yep, and I tried doing the little trick where you start in gear and apply brakes while giving it gas to build boost, but I don't think I did it right. But I'm right there with you, I'm almost positive it had something to do with me resetting the ECU.

what turbo are you using, i am assuming TD04? If you compression is 9:1 you should be able to up the boost, especially since you arent that high in hp. AFR's should be monitored, I would be more concerned about your timing, what are you using for engine management? you should be able to take quite a bit of fuel out, at full load i would guess you will be fine at 11:1

obviously every car is different but as an example on 10:1 compression i ran 11psi with AFR at 11:1, timing was pretty conservative, EGT's seemed fine as well.

I am running a wideband so i am keepin close watch on the AFRs. i stil need to get my EGT probe mounted, but other then that i am ready to monitor EGTs. I am using the td04. only issue is that my EM unit the perfectpowet smt6 refuses to work correctly for timing.

Mustangs are known to read higher than a Dyno Dynamics. I did some digging and found that a stock WRX on average puts down about 155 whp. It also seems that there is less variance between different DD units.

Aaron -- I think your saabaru might be a happy little guy with a strong heart.

I took a bunch of pictures and videos once we got there.

I'll post them all as soon as I get time to upload them.

Oh and I read somewhere that the Dyno Dynamics dyno computes something like 8% less than a Mustang dyno and 13% less than a Dynojet.

^^the guys at the shop said to multiply their dyno's HP numbers by 111% to get the desired Dynojet's HP numbers. I'm not saying that you're wrong, Shay, but that's what the shop told me.

How dumb is this? I mean I get that on average you may make 11% more but you could say "actually you multiply our numbers by 150%"

If you are necessarily looking for a number, multiply whatever you put down and say thats what it is, LOL. Dyno's are tools for tuning and comparing what different modifications do. Just find out what a stock car does and then compare yours to that and you can say "i am 50whp over stock" on a dyno jet it would likely be the same 50 over stock just shifted up.

PS. i am not calling the guys at the shop dumb their statement is valid, I am just saying its kind of dumb to always be like "well it would have been X on Y dyno" or if the highest dyno number is what you want, then try and find a dyno jet;)

also, in my opinion it would be cooler to put down like 200whp but be able to run a 12.0 in the quarter, trap speed will really tell the story. It is more sleeper to say "it's only 200whp", but that is just me:)

Jorge tuned my car to 220whp on my VF23, pinks, and stock TMIC (!!) at Axis Power Racing 2 years ago (17.5 lbs of boost). Ron (different Ron, the one from St Louis, not the local one) said that was right about what stock STIs did on their Dyno Dynamics.

So that seems consistent with what people are experiencing now that there is one of these locally.
