I'm not familiar with the HID setup on my car, it was on it when I purchased it. But I know it's a DDM kit.

I've never had issues with it. They've worked perfectly.

Just the other day, I went through a drive-thru touchless car wash, where water sprays up from the ground to rinse the undercarriage as you enter.

Later that night, I was pulling onto 94 and randomly both headlights went out. I pulled into a gas station and the inline 20 amp fuse that runs from the kit to the battery was blown. I ran in a bought a new fuse, and put it in. Turned the car on and the headlights were on for maybe 1 minute, and went back out. Drove home and parked it for about a day or two. Earlier today put in a new 20 amp fuse and one headlight (drivers side) is staying on, and the fuse isn't blowing. I don't think the headlight is blown on the passenger side, at least it doesn't appear to be.

I mentioned the car wash because I'm guessing some water got in to something that it shouldn't have. Could this be it? How could I check? Where should I check?

Any other info you think could be helpful would be splendid!

    Thanks guys!

ddm has a lifetime warranty. so if whatever you find out is wrong with them, you can get it replaced for free. :)

when I had my ddm hid kit, my ballast were always the problem. slim or regular kit? I install the slim kit on my gsxr, haven't had any problem. The wrx had a regular kit and the ballast had to be replace.

I just came to the conclusion that it's the ballast. It must have gotten wet. So I'm trying to dry it out right now, and see if that works. Otherwise I'll need a new ballast.

I think I have 4-5-6 extra ballasts sitting at my house. Let me know if you need/want a extra.

I have some ballast boxes from some older hid kits I used on my BMW. They aren't ddm though I don't think
