I occasionally wish I gave a damn about the finishes on my vehicles, just so I could have Sheen work his magic on one.

Thanks for the kind words and pics, Ryan!

I figure if my crappy cell phone pics get the point across, there's no need for high res pics. That and I see so many detailers put up obviously photoshopped high res pics. But I'm always happy to see user pics! Especially when they better represent the finish compared to my rushed shots! Pm incoming btw.

Yep, he's really good and reasonably priced. OBP car looks like glass now. Of course, God started crying (probably because something You did) as soon as I picked it up last Wednesday and for the next couple days....

Thanks for the kind words and for the referral. The cf was kind of a pain, but it cleaned up very nicely.

Cool car. One of the nicer bugeyes I've worked on:

I like all the fake vents. Did he at least have some real clear coat on there, or did you just wax the CF? :)

The vents were actually what made it tough to work with. Lots of weird lines. The part itself is high quality. At least compared to most of the cf stuff that comes my way. It had a few oxidation spots (see the silver bugeye with cf hood somewhere in this thread), a bunch of swirls in the clear coat, some delamination, some small spots where you could see some cracks in the plies, etc... there was a little bit of everything so it made it a fun challenge. I spent about 3 hours on the hood.

Would you do a snowmobile? Its an 04 and the tunnel needs some polishing as well as the plastics.

How much to remove a bird dropping stain on the A-pillar on the drivers side? 05 lgt

Washed it, clay bared and then used some bug & tar remover but it still wouldn't come off

If it sits long enough it will eat into the paint.

    2000 grit, compound, polish, wax.

    Two questions:
If one was to get the ClearBra applied to the front of a vehicle I would assume it would be best to get a detail done beofre applying?
And What are your thoughts on ClearBra? Any pros or cons? Worth the investment?

Pretty much what 3rik said, although it may not need wetsanding. Pm me if you're serious. Price will vary greatly depending on how bad it is.

Clearbra is great. Chris at flawlessfrontends does great work.

I would reccomend a detail before so you have an even surface. You can bring it back after for a free wax/seal of the front end since most of it will get stripped off in the clearbra process.

    So...

    1) I can polish and seal it
    2) go get it clear bra'd
    3) bring it back to have the front end (including clearbra) resealed
    4)...
    5) profit?

I have a black '06 STI that needs an exterior detail ASAP. Let me know how much it is for the service or are you still charging $70 for the exterior detailing.

Thanks for the interest. 70 is the base rate. If it requires any correction (swirls, scratches, holograms, etc...) it's about $20 per panel depending on severity and size of the panel. I typically count the hood and fenders as 1 panel and the doors on each side as 1 panel. tbh, I prefer to see the car first if I haven't worked on it in the past or haven't seen the condition recently. PM if interested.

That is yours Felipe? I was there lastnight for a few minutes...poor TSX is an understatement! Never seen paint like that before. Looked like someone wetsanded the whole car and forgot to buff and wax it afterwards!

You will be happy when you get it back tho...it was looking real good(on the panels that he had done some work to)!

Thanks again for letting me work on it. It was a challenge especially given the time frame, but it's much more tolerable now.

Haven't done before/afters in a while so here we go. Forgot to take pics of the interior again, but here's the exterior:

Paint overall was really tough. Passenger side was maybe in the best shape:

    after:

    ps pillar:

    after:

    Driver's side was really rough:

Couldn't get everything out, but was able to make it less noticeable. The paint transfer on the fender did come out 100% though:

    Hood was really really bad:

swirls, scratches, holograms, hard water etching... everything going on all over the hood:

turned out pretty good after 2 hours of polishing

    The trunk was even worse:

Took almost as long as the hood to clean up. Still not perfect, but looks much better now.

Stellar job brotha! Now you can roll that beast with pride Felipe! I was in awe when i saw the paint 'before', the awe quadrupled when i saw the 'after'! I honestly thought that it wasn't even a possibility to reverse the damage...but Sheen pulled off another one.;)

Not the greatest pictures, but this is about a week after getting it detailed, driving it 200 miles, and having it get all dusty from just being located in Eau Claire.

As always, Sheen did a fantastic job. I wish I would have thought to get some pictures right away.

Oh I completely forgot about this. I had talked to you last fall after picking up the Z that I wanted to get the Infiniti done as well. I should probably give Steph a 6 speed refresher course so she has something to drive before we go scheduling anything. But her car needs it. Desperately.
