I've seen Bassnectar perform a few times live at festivals! Speaking of >>> http://electricforestfestival.com/l...050780847,120261248096536,119469308174878:c.m Also...closer to home!(no Bassnectar, but great musicians none the less) >>> http://www.summersetfestival.com/2012/
Hmmm. I'm relatively old but feel pretty clued into current music. Not sure what the current definition of dubstep is, but this is one of my favorites (Dub FX): I love the idea of one person and some gear making this dense, huge sound. On top of it, Dub FX can actually flow lyrically vs. what seems to be a bunch of nerds with keyboards. Your methods may vary, be well.
Not if i can help it. As stated before 3rik, i listen to "real music" too. But i love some organized noise on occasion also.
That's a lot closer to what dubstep was last time I cared. It wasn't long after the 2step phase in mpls. To me, the current stuff ranges from interesting-but-not-dubstep to straight up facepalm, usually the latter.
Wasn't Qbert here like last week? I'm slackin, should have went to see him live. Craze is dope for sure though.
hehe... Craze is an animal. Actually more like a crazed midget, but whatever. That's the first time I've seen him use anything but straight wax. Good 'ish.
One of my favorite routines of his is the dmc world team routine with a trak. The whole routine is absurd but I especially like 4:15 on bc it reminds me of his live shows from the same era. Might as well go ahead and redeem this thread... Some of my favorite solo routines throughout the years: (whole routine is crazy but 2:00-3:15 is really nuts... the needle drops at 5:25ish too) Speaking of Q, I remember meeting him back in '98... and he still looks the same lol must be all the shrooms
Haha, nice! I havent heard that team performance from the DMC in a while. I remember A-track was like 10 years old! lol
Yeah man, I'm surprised he didn't have a chaperone  I have that vhs (yes vhs) sitting on the shelf but nothing to play it with.
I think it was 99 where Craze went ape**** and won with the routine where he was juggling triplets with his back... That was straight up showmanship, always love his performances. I believe he retired from DMC solo competition after that. I got see him twice up here. The man puts on a crowd control clinic every time he steps up.
For sure! I saw craze in '98 and '01. Both very different shows but both some of the best "parties" I've been to.
I always enjoy it when Gemini or Nero start playing when listening to Pandora! I also have enjoyed Mt. Eden for a few years.
Dubstep is always good. I'm really into dnb and liquid dnb atm. Here's a few songs currently on my playlist <------ Great breaks in this one
Hey Josh, I finally found that video that you were begging me to find for you. Here it is. I really don't know why you like it so much.
Went to Flux, place was way too packed and sweaty with no AC! Had to leave when flux came on after Cookie Mosnta because a buddy of mine was so drunk he kept falling all over in the crowd of people. They should have had it at a different venue.
That sucks! I'm pretty sure that he is playing the Somerset Music Festival in August too...$75 for the 3 days of musak!
^That was pretty good! Just added it to my ipod. Off of Nero's upcoming album. Also on HP's new "Beats" edition laptop commercial.
I saw q-bert live when I was 18 my sister drug me too it and all I remember was getting asked if I wanted some vicks vapour rub by a guy on E. I would love for someone to burn me some of there fav dubstept if ayone has spare time I will provide the cd. I need new stuff to listen too in the car. oh and thanks Phi11 for that vid it made my day.
Not much of a fan for this type of music but what a pop lock artist can do with that type of music. One of my favorites.
LMAO! Funny stuff. For those of you intrawebbers that don't remember...Skrillex took the "Ooooh my God!!" sample from the video of that young girl getting a mac computer for Christmas. Can't find the vid on youtubez, but it was classic.
I just like the girl part, she looks good and that dreamy dance....to die for, but that's not how she really look though not my type in real life(Vid edit)
