I predict that immediately after lunch the front end of the duster will break off and drive away under it's own power.

A real read diff plate is beyond my garage manufacture capacity. to do them real justice would require a fairly big, strong box brake and a TIG welder.

I might be able to do something basic, ala the Primitive "mini" read skidplate, but it really isn't worth it.

You can buy the Subaru steel one for $55-60, and that's going to protect you better anyhow, so just get the Subaru one.

I picked up a Primitive Mini used for cheap and I like it. Not as good as some, but for the money I paid it is nice to have the insurance policy out back.

Give me an addy and a time, I'd love to lend a hand / learn how to do that, Dave. I should be leaving early enough to make it there.

I just talked to Whiskers at CPD. He said he has a bunch of rally tires he wants to get rid of. They are free BUT they are mounted on rims and who ever wants them has to have them demounted and then bring the rims back to CPD. As far as I know they are all for 15" rims.

Send me a pm and I'll get you is contact info.

Be aware that very few shops can handle rally tires. The Pomps in Rogers is the only place I could find that could deal with the stiff sidewalls and they are a semi truck tire shop.

I just talked to him and he says there is a shop down the street from CPD, might be Rogers truck stop, that can handle the tires. I have a truck/farm tire place I use here in Little Falls for the same reason.

Sheesh, I'm supposed to be working you know :)

I'll try to make this one. It'll suck running m4 w/out some decent tires (RE92s and a set of summers are all I have). I plan on buying some winter tires to replace the RE92's on my stock wheels which I'll use next summer for RX. Sucks for now though....anyone got a set of dirties/winters I can borrow for the day?

Awww man. I was just thinking that it would be a ton of fun to make one last trek out and end the season running M4 with the MN crew specifically to have a chance to mix it up with Mark and Kevin and then saw from the entry list and this thread that you'll be running in M2. Bummer.

Can I assume that this is a one time thing and that you guys will be in M4 again next season? That will honestly have an effect on my plans. Major bummer.

Hey Mark - if you're looking for an unfamiliar car and to avoid messing up Brent's championship could I tempt you with a shiny new Evo?

Not entirely sure how its panning out this event. I might be on stock wheels/Nokian WR's, or on Denny's racelines and gravel tires like the last few events. I know next season I should have a mismatched set of gravel tires, I just need to discover fundage for the wheels to put 'em on between now and then.

Not that they're making or breaking my times... the problem is in the software, not the hardware.

You can be sure that Mark will be running M4 next year. Brent may be willing to give up his championship in M2 for a chance to drive the shiny new evo

Seriously, we would love to have you come. I am sure that Mark, Brent and Kevin would all love to try to beat you with 2 less drive wheels. Plus there is an up and coming crop of M4 drivers duking it out for 3rd place (1st is to Mark and 2nd is to Jim Cox). It is going to be quite a competition out there!

    Hope to see you tomorrow!

I regret to report that Denny's Racelines are short one tire at the moment. One of the newer ones I had put on before LSPR turned out to have a broken bead. I told Denny you were welcome to use my OZs with Hakka snow tires for this event if you want to (the set up Brent won PA at Nationals with). It's going to be a few weeks before I can gather another set of tires for Denny's wheels and get them installed.

    Sorry.... Amy

Quite the opposite. I was asked to "mess up Brent's championship". I called Brent and told him of the offer and he told me to "Bring It B***h".

I have every plan to run M4 next year.

 Cool. Sounds like fun. I'll have to decide last minute, but as of right now I'm planning on coming out tomorrow.

What's this I read in the race summary on the SCCA site about you being DQ'ed? I knew that they had protested for some incomprehensible reason but didn't know that a decision was made much less a DQ. What was their reasoning? I was out there in grid for your run group. I saw nothing abnormal and you most clearly out-drove everyone else. What the hell?
