    Installing the Homelink Mirror ::

Remove the Stock mirror by twisting it 90 degrees to the right

    Get the stock mirror out

This is how the stock mount looks like:

    Remove the Stock clip out

The new clip on the left , stock on the right

    Insert the new clip

Slide the Cast iron into the clip might be a little PIA to put in

    Remove the bulb cover

Once the covers out take out the screws on either side of the console light assembly

Remove the the console and look for the wire plug

    Gothca!

Plug in the wiring harness to the plug

Get your Homelink Mirror from your cat

    Pry this open

Route the homelink harness through the overhead trim

What are the other buttons for? On my mirror there's only 2 button. One for auto dimmer and one for compass.

I saw the parts list and price and was like, wow, wish I could get one for a recent impreza for that cheap. But then noticed the mirror isn't on the list. :)

I'll be keeping my eyes out for accessory clearance sales in a couple years. I got tweeters for my 98 legacy for dirt cheap in about 2003! Ah, patience...

You can use mirrors from Hyundai like I did. They are cheaper if you search for them online.

Cool! Didn't know that's what you did here...I'll check that out. The accessory kit from subaru to add this is like over $150...too much!

Yeap those are really expensive, if you do go with the hyundai makesure you get the harness from ebay. The stock one wont work.

Hi Thomas I would highly recommend. It makes life so much easier if your driving at night now I wish my side mirrors were auto dim too. And the homelink reduces clutter on your visor. Here is a link I found very similar to this though I got mine for about 70$

Sweet thanks man! This may be a stupid question but with an aftermarket harness this will be a plug and play?

Nope not a stupid question at all :). The aftermarket one that I used would work on the hundai and kia homelinks, the subaru stock one wont work. I have a stock oem plug laying around if you plan to install stock subaru homelink let me know.

Just to add, if you have a base model and do not have the map lights up top, you probably do not have the harness to plug this into.
