Are they flexible? My other option is Rallyarmor UR ones.

they are more solid than flexible. I'm not sure what the durameter on them is but they are fairly hard (but still bendable). more plastic, less rubber. possibly HDPE

Dont be fooled. just because a flap doesnt seem flexible, doesnt mean it wont bend when in use. The flastline flaps I have are stiff as a board, but when stuff is spraying at them, be it gravel or snow they bend the perfect amount as to not allow a ton of stuff to fly into the car doors.

these turned out to be too firm for me. I need something that is in between these and my current flaps in terms of flexibility. I'm going to use these for underbody shielding because they are the right size for covering the rear suspension area

they'd work fine depending on how you sized them. I tend to make super aggressive flaps to maximize coverage (the fronts I sized out to be 17.5" tall and 17" wide - this is to cover the wheels while at full lock under the car). I'd fear that due to how stiff these semi flaps are I'd end up pulling my hardware out too often

however, they are perfect for making underbody plates - I'll finish them up tomorrow and post pics

Well, I must admit that I scored a set of used RA flaps on NASIOC. I will still contribute to this process if help is needed though.

Well, I don't mean to let anyone down, but my past weekend was spent in my garage re-constructing my garage shelves and I'm d@mn glad that I did. They were all held up with sheetrock screws that had about 1/4" of thread into the studs.

I hope to get enough of that done this Wed and Thurs to be able to make a couple sets on Friday night or Sunday before football starts.

I think that the plastic is tough enough to go without hardware. I'd be willing to give someone a set of red flaps to try out... Let me know if that's you.

Those flaps are weak sauce. Too small to do any good.

Ted, if no one else steps up, I probably could do it. Although I would rather not have to remove my current flaps... as I dont think I will be able to get them back on.

well. im just waiting for ted to let me know when to get back out to his place so we can finish the rears. they look really good so far!

Teds point about not needing hardwear is pretty true because the plasic is really tough and doesnt flop around too much. we're gonna need to test these out.

    Ted,
let me know when a good time would be because im stoked to get these things all finished up lookin good.

turns out that push pins arent good enough to hold them in place. im gonna have to find some kind of screw that will hold them in. i tried putting the fronts on and the push pins were a fail...

or maybe try a different pin

    Gotcha...
I'll shop for hardware today when I get the dremmel bits. I couldn't sleep last night- my mind was running, and I thought of trying to find rubber caps for the screw heads so they didn't get all nicked up and full of junk... Am I loosing it?

    love,
    -ted

I'm hoping I have enough time after the 7500 service on the Alty to run down to Fleet farm and buy a new set of truck flaps to put on the Sentra for the Sat RallyX :)

I lost one of them when I lost the fender liner a couple months ago.

I went and bought more dremmel bits on Saturday but they didn't give me the edge that I was looking for - so I'm heading to the Home Depot tonight to get the drywall bit that I broke while making the test set for Holster.

I also got some hardware that I want to test out but have not had much time. Remember that I have a life and a kid.

I'm in a rotten mood today, sorry to snap at ya. I got a total of about 3 hours of sleep last night... :eek4:

This coming weekend is booked with sprinkler blow-outs, so if I can get them cut by the weekend I definately will try.

It's alright bro, do you need any help? I can swing over and we can bang out those flaps. I also started looking at others RallyArmor setups and there are no brackets being used on the "Classics". We just have to figure out what to use in the gap from the very inside hole of the flap to the fender liner. Also I think I am gonna do allen head screws vs phillips heads, as mine will more than likely be coming off in the summer.

the hardware that I picked up to test is stainless steel alan head bolts and zinc plated washers. I'll likely get stainless washers but I couldn't find any and needed to get something just to test.

I don't need any help, I just need less crap to do. Thanks though.

Still going to get your set done before the snow flies, don't worry.
I've had 1 evening in October where I didn't have an irrigation system to winterize. My weekends have been 10-14 hour days. Meanwhile, I have my wife complaining about not bein able to use the garage. Sorry for the delay.

    ha.
good timing, I was just about to PM you.
I should have a set done by Friday.
I was going to work a bit tonight but had an awful day at work.
I have your 4 to make, finish the set for Holster and then make a set for Scuba. Then maybe make some for my car.

Alright, I got three sets made this past weekend. I just need to hit the hardware store on the way home from work tomorrow since I now know what I need.

I'll take some good pics and post a sketch with measurements and where I got all of the parts - so you guys can make your own if you want. I shortened up the length a bit because the ground scraping was friggin annoying.
