    Questions:

    - The new No passengers rule. Can we still have co-driver sit in the car during your run? or does it only apply to non-driver?
    - Contingency program: it said 3 decals are required, can we get them at the event?

Thanks and see ya all out there this Saturday!

No passenger means nobody in the car besides driver.

contingency program- No...Not available at event. Please see previous post...it's all done through national SCCA office and should've been ordered last week.

Tim and I have our stickers and are ready to rock them! Tim's car looks like it's fully sponsored by everyone. He just needs Roto Rooter on there now to make it complete.

Put-put around the track with everyone in your group to get a feel of how the course is laid out. No faster then 5 mph.

one thing you can do is stick the stickers on a towel (or some other "linty" fabric) first to get them to be less sticky and then put them on the car. they will last the whole day and be much easier to get off.

Just a reminder that pre-registration closes at 5:00 tomorrow night. Save yourself $10 and pre-register and prepay. There will be a $10 fee to pay at the event.

How does the numbering work? Do I just pic a number and slap it on the doors or what? And are we gunna be limited to 2 digets?

Also, is there still a need for people to help prep the track Friday?

yes one or two digit numbers only please. you can choose any number as long as it is not used by someone who has reserved it for the year, or is preceded by a zero (01, 02, 03, ect...)

Just found out one of the 2 long bolts that runs through the starter was sheered off. I've owned the car for almost 2 years now and I've never touched those bolts on the starter, but I just happened to notice a bolt sticking out like 3 inches when I was checkin things out tonight. Soooo I'm going to maybe try to get the bolt out tomorrow, or just replace the whole starter. Either way, I'm gunna do my best to register tomorrow afternoon!

    When/where's the caravan?

I might be too hungover to go, but I think I should have the car back up and running tonight.

I was actually just trying to figure something out but being hung over at work right now isn't working out well. Seems like some where with food or coffee will be in our best interest.

great. have there been many other kids there in recent years? my kids have been to a lot of rallyxes but it has been a couple years.

i will be coming in my 93 impreza wagon. it is stock, however it currently has a set of nokian WR all seasons on it in 15" the car was eqipped OE with 13" wheels. so i assume that i would be in PA.

registered and payment recieved. see you all in the morning. time to go clean out the car!

Here is the rule for the Stock Class...
So, not so much the wheel size, but the overall size.

ok, read that as they must be 13" if the car came with 13". the nokians are quite a bit wider than the stockers. sounds like PA for sure.

A few besides the Carlsons, but not that many. I dragged Adam to one of the "school" events a couple of years back and he still will talk about it from time to time. I'm not competing tomorrow, but if I get the work I need to do out of the way early enough, I'm going to try to bring him out to watch tomorrow (he's 5). Maya (1) is likely not coming along, but who knows?

goody that there will be other kids there. i talked my wife into coming to this one so we gotta bring our kids (boys, 7 and 1). hope they all get along and have as much fun as we do!
with the weekend membership you're not saving any money. you're still paying $85 for you membership in total. if you go all season on just weekend memberships for just rallyx it's a total of $120 for the "memberships". plus you get stuff for being a member! mags, i think i got a few decals and a patch. totally worth the membership. if you think bout it after the little things you get you prolly only pay $50 for the membership, almost a 3rd on the weekend price

too late, i went with unspecified. What does SA mean? I'd kinda like to get into a "newb" class since I've never even watched a rallycross in person before :/ Forgive me ahead of time for my newbishness

My only reason for wanting to just do a weekend membership is because I don't know how many other rallycross events I'll be able to make. I figure I'll give one a try before I fully commit ;)

yes you can not. if you're not a member you can't do anything. no chair, no stewart, no tech.
SA is stock front. selectin "unspecified" is just not selecting a class and they'll figure it out in tech based on your mods.
    sa = stock
pa = prepared awd (light mods, intake/exhaust)\
M4 = modified 4wd (weight reduction, tune, boosting)

biggest thing that'll bump you into modfied from even stock is weight reduction. at our first event this year there was a kid that brought a VW he just bought. sh** was STOCK. but during tech they found his rear seat wasn't secured so he had to take it out.... weight reduction = modified. taking anything out would do it. i was told taking out your spare tire doesn't count as reduction

    IIRC

Thanks for the description of the classes. I figured I'd leave it up to the tech guys to tell me exactly what I'm in (assuming SA unless they think my catback makes my na faster lol). I've got your number written down, so I'll let you know if anything comes up.

That was bar none one of the best rallyx I've done. You could just hammer your car and not feel like you were abusing it. What an awesome venue. I had to leave early (prior to fun runs) so I don't know how it netted out. But my best run was a clean 38.3xx in the SA (stock) LGT.

I know this is waaay too late to help in this situation, but for future reference:

RallyCross runs rain or shine, snow or sleet. We've held them in ice storms, and blizzards with horizontal snow (sometimes in the same day!).

We do have to cancel or halt them if a storm with lightning happens (due to insurance requirements), or if the weather is causing the surface to become dangerous (some sites will rut up enormously if they get really wet).

Corcoran really would be best with a very light, consistent rain. It would eliminate watering between runs and keep the course even for everyone. But since we tend to run there right about this time of the year, it's almost unfailingly blazingly hot and the sun just bakes you. Plus, the site has some amazing drainage, and you can have storms for days leading up to an event there and till have dust by lunchtime.
