Wow, then I really must have fubared some runs, I had two 38's and two 39's and a few 40.xx, so I must have netted some high cone counts or something. Have the times been posted anywhere?

I think 35.xx-36.xx were the fast side of things for consistent runs. I'm not sure though. Later in the day the timer was angled better for the finish line so starting grid had a harder time seeing what people were getting. I just watch Mark's times and pretty much say that's the fast side. :p I want to say he was in the 35-36 range consistently later in the day, but I could almost never read the time board later in the day. For all I know there might have been some 33.xx-34.xx times. It'll be interesting to see what people were getting.

on the 5th runset the times for the m4 and sa cars were quite a bit faster than they had been all day. you guys got some awesome course conditions for that set. i was working the grid for your group and dont remember anyone below 34. i think mark got a 34 but he had a cone.

i always forget to look for the timer. my goal at the finish is slow the f*** down, get the door open, and get around the cones. i kinda wish it was in a better spot of the drives to see at the finish. like right in front of ya

shhh don't say that! I finally broke into the 30s on my last run haha. It was a high 39 but still...goal accomplished :) Heck, for my first rallycross ever, my goal was not to finish dead last and make it home in one piece afterwords.

ps will there be any way to know how many cones you hit? Like when they post the times online, will they give a cone count as well?

No, when the times are posted they will only outline your times, not cone count.
Maybe I can get that info for ya though...

I think I hit a few cones before lunch, but think the afternoon was pretty clean. I was averaging 37s to low 39's

Typically I don't include cone counts on the final results as it just makes fitting everything onto a nice page harder.

I have the results ready to post, but I'm waiting for confirmation that what I've put together is correct, since this is what the people paying out the contingencies will be looking at.

cool, yea it'd be sweet to know if I took out any cones because I really don't recall any. But then again, it's probably tough to really know unless it was a big obvious mistake. idk if not hitting any cones is necissarily a good thing either :( I'll have to drive a little harder next time ;) yea I said it...next time haha you guys have got me hooked

you were driving very well. getting in the 30s regardless of conditions is a solid drive on that course. the key to this course was knowing when to slow down so you could go fast later.

the hardest part was the pin turn after the slalom and the turn just before the gate to the north side of the track.

Thanks, I appreciate it. I agree that the pin turn was probably one of the harder parts of the course, but it wouldn't have been as fun without it. The trickiest part for me was getting myself set up and turning away from the turn before cranking it back around to whip the back end out a little more. All those sti guys can just touch the gas a little more it seemed haha. And right before you go through the fence was tricky to keep your speed through as well.

p.s. I've got my friend editing some of the video that I shot, so I'll probably start a thread when he cracks into it a little more. I know I've got a lot of footage of everybody which is cool.

I wanna see video or pics of the 360's that we (me in the MR2 and then the guy that was driving the white STi) did during the fun runs! I would also like to see how I looked on course since it felt really good almost all day.

I have 1 vid on my phone of one of Mark's runs with me standing at the pin turn. I'll upload that later. I also have all my runs in-car. I'll have stuff up on YouTube in the next couple days.

Thanks, I saw my times online, but that's kinda cool that I didn't hit any cones lol. I'll have to go a little harder next time I guess :)

speaking of next time, I see that the next rallycross is on a Sunday. Boo that. I'll have to wait andsee if I'll be able to make it depending on classes n stuff. Driving from Fargo and back in one day blows. Just as Greg haha he did it last weekend

Excellent event and just checked the result.

Brian, Nice driving for your first event. I hit 3 cones on my last run (forgot the condition of the muddy bridge on the last corner) and lost my 3rd place in SA to you. However, great fun. Anna and I had a blast. I got to meet a few of you guys in person finally.

I hope that we'll do more rallycross at Corcorin lions park. This venue is awesome.

So I am the once that is editing the videos that Brian took and currently the first part (the file is too big to be one part) is currently rendering and should be done within a few hours, as soon as it is done I will upload it to megaupload and put the link up here and start on the second part
My apologies for it taking so long, it has been tough to find time while trying to get ready to move

Part one is finished and uploaded:
    http://www.megaupload.com/?d=WMT40MSD

Hopefully part 2 will be done and uploaded by tomorrow

Kevin lives in Fargo too, so when he gets back in town I'm sure he could get ya a dvd ;) He accidentally left the camera in HD quality, so that's what you'll get :)
