I think I'm actually going to try not to worry about overall results but focus on learning new techniques and improving my driving.... even if it means killing three cones on the 2nd to last corner.
Oh, it's doable. I've never directly beat Mark in an event, but I've beat people who have beaten him, so I guess I've beaten him by proxy once removed. That's my story and I'm sticking with it.
with me I tend to be faster (feels slower) when I forget about driving the car and just let it flow , within reason
Hey, great idea. And I beat YOU in the last event (by 3 whole hundreths of a second). so.... I've beaten Mark, twice removed.
those cones had it coming I'm going to see if i can crack top 5 overall - i was pretty close this last time - right on the edge
hmm. maybe start doing some weight reduction since you're already in m4. rallycross cars don't need stereos, ac, rear seats, etc... I just need to talk to my parents and see I can use their pasture for a weekend so I can set up a practice course.
Great!! I'm looking forward to working towards a 1,2,3 old school showing from the early 2000 crew!! (you, Greg and I) back when a guy could get 3rd by just finishing his runs!!!, I've been so busy with school that i've had no time to come out and play this year I also miss having enough free time to help Jim Cox with the truck
since this is a divisional event, does it pull in more competitors from outside the local area? or is it mostly the same people?
I think we had one guy come from out-of-division last year. That could change, but right now to qualify for thenational, all you have to do is compete in a regional, so there's not a lot of incentive to drive a long way if you can qualify for just showing up at a closer event.
i think you were even faster when it was my name on the title of the car. and here you thought i sold it to you cuz i needed the money.
hahaha so ture!!! so ture!! your name on the title did help, but having the trailer confidence now helps too!
josh should get a trophy for everything. he is kind of a big deal so I put rally tires and wheels on and jumped to 6th overall. maybe if I get a harness I can get to 4th? lol. or a roof vent. roof vent = #1
lights make me teh fastar. bring out the toaster so I have more mnsubaru peeps to wail on in the aesthetically challenged sti
I can if I want... I may go to church but I aint religious... ha ah its more with, building a house, 3 kids one in the oven, buying about $7k of tools and equipment this last month, and about to move to Bloomington for 6mths so we can get renters now while market is good.. yeah no $$$ or time for that and come sundays.. I want to go to church, then come home and sleep.... pretty much my only day off...
well we know you could drive out to my house on the gravel.. BUT YOU DONT KNOW WHERE IT IS... and may never with that attitude mister
this sounds too adult and responsible for mnsubaru. please add p3nix jokes or chet gas pump references
actually I thought that I may copy Mike Wagner and teach my kid to drive so he can whip all your arses at a young age...
Yeah, I wish I had some discipline when I was younger, we had a subaru that we beat on out in the fields and gravel pit, but we were more concerned with spinning tires and jumping than trying to go fast around corners or actually learn car control... still, those were the days...
I bet Josh Armantrout and his STI will make it. He went out to the East Coast for the Eastern Championship two weeks ago. He ran most of the events here last year and came in 2nd in SA at Nationals.
well with Carls attitude.. I may just let him stand on the main road and take pics of US playing with his zoom lense
another sti? this will not do at all. I may have to buy a new car to stay unique. umm, how does a smart car sound?
Many, many drivers would improve by taking this to heart. Smooth is the only way to become fast. Once you master smooth, and I really mean master, then you can work on chucking it in there and dealing with what comes up. Earlier in my experience as a driver, I spent two years slowing down so I could get faster. Now that is deeply engrained and I don't have to think about it. Mark Utecht
More smack To hell with practice, we need more good venues for events. Build it and we will come. (Smack) But all of you will lose. (Sting) Mark
