my daughters (6&4) were going to be coming this weekend too but they ended up being invited to a Fancy Nancy Sleepover at their cousins. aparently Fancy Nancy trumps rallycross if you are a 6 year old girl.
i learned a long time ago that there is only more goey foot and less goey foot. stoppy foot is right out. lift throttle over steer is fun.
Our kids are going to Grandpa's so Daddy can be Co-Event Master and Mommy can focus on Timing and Scoring. Grandpa has yet to be to a RallyCross, so since it is nice and close, it would be a good one for him to come to.
I was hoping that my wife & kid would at least stop by, but then my wife got invited to a party, so they're going there instead.
Too late. I went to the Tax Brake rallycross this year and then it was all downhill. I got new wheels and tires for the dirt, worked Namadji 1 and 2, went to June Bug, signed up to work Ojibwe and I'll be there on Sunday. Once rally gets a hold on you it doesn't let go. I think Nemadji 2 just hooked Sara. When we were on our way out of the woods she was already telling me she was taking time off work to come with to Ojibwe:biggrin:
Done. Hope we see you at another one! In Spet, the hope is to be up around Princeton, so we'd be a little closer too.
Bring $55 if you're not an SCCA member, $40 if you are. You'll just fill out the paperwork there(couple of short forms). And then you're good to go! Hope to see you there Sunday Mike...you'd love it for sure!:naughty:
I'm game! We need to google map the directions though. I'm thinking that Bass Lake Rd.(10) west would be faster than dealing with the road construction on 55.
I will most likely be hitting BWW's with Bill and crew this evening. Maybe tomarrow night. Or I could call you tomarrow and we can discuss then.
Building a light bar for some Hellas It's mostly done but I need to have it mounted to tack weld in the last piece before I can finish it up. The bumper has to come off to install the mounting tabs the rest of the bar attaches to.
That is next on my list of projects. As soon as the lights are done I will start on the mounts for the hauler. Once I get a prototype done I can build one for you. It always takes forever to figure out how to put the first one together.
haha josh i have rally crossed before, before you were part of the club actually lol. so yeah its been a while It should be interesting though, im driving grimmspeeds RS and i dont have much practice at all driving a manual.
Yep. But, given the number of entries this event is going to have, I suspect they're going to see a lot of use. And it'll probably be hot too. If it were me, I'd be looking at picking up a helmet today, but then again, I wear a balaclava because I don't like dealing with my own sweat in my helmet.
One way to help with this is to get there early so everyone can get teched and be ready to run right after the driver's meeting scheduled for 10:45. Brent and I are planning on getting there early so that we can have registration ready to go at 9 (maybe earlier). Carrie
well, you can make it only 38 now. unfortunately i have to withdraw. the money just isnt there this weekend due to a couple unexpected expenses. it would be irresponsible of me to spend the 200 bucks needed to cover entry and travel expenses. i havent prepaid so there is no need to worry about a refund. have fun everyone, take lots of cool pictures and dont let utecht will all that sweet subaru cash this time around.
best of luck. i like how you use words like "going to". there is a lot of competition in M4 this time around it seems. and brent has shown us how sneaky fast those audis can be. hopefully the family budget will get inline better so i can come out and play more often. apparently we have to buy stuff like groceries. heck at least now i can watch the x games live and follow rally finland online live.
I don't know if it matters, but when I registered I said I'm driving a '06 Impreza, but I actually drive an '07 Impreza....oops. Didn't realize it until just now. Wow there's a lot of cars signed up now! It's gonna be fun!
I think Brent has shown us how sneaky fast Brent can be. I'm not sure Audi has much to do with it. Anyone running PA tomorrow should be worried.
sorry to cut one of the M2 cars out of the competition for you. i am not sure if richard is going to be going either now. havent talked to him since i decided to withdraw this morning. it is too bad. i was really looking forward to battling it out with you and eric again. i was even going to drop a few more pounds out of the lagacy tonight.
rly: well then since all the weight is sitting on the front drive wheels i should be good to go then. all the weight on the front and no weight on the back makes for a very tail happy car. especially with extreme toe out at the rear.
So, Brent, Jim et.al. have asked me to post this: PLEASE arrive early tomorrow to speed up the registration and tech process. We are going to open registration at 8:30 in an effort to get things moving. Carrie
We plan on running 10 west(Bass Lake Rd.) out. I think that is the Maple Grove area. If you want to trek up there you can roll with us. I've heard that 55 is under heavy construction going westbound.:dunno:
yeah ill meet anywhere. i just dont feel like getting lost hauling a huge trailer so if we could meet up in a familiar area that would be great
Bass Lake Rd. west. At the first stop light there is an SA gas station. We could meet there? Probably would want to be there by 7:45am or so. The update says 8:30am for tech inspections.
