fobia are you going to have this baby runnin by the time of the laxcruise? i need to see this thing rip!
hears what i was up to today. got the swirl pot finished and painted. no leaks so i mounted it in its spot along with made a stand for my battery box to make way for the new spot for the inline pump and filters. also cut the cover for the wheel well and am going to do some sound detaining to cover up the noise a bit from the pump.
wow! looking really good. I also want to see full car pictures, lets see how these coils look in there.
let me get it running first. my drive way has a little bit of a hill to it and dont want to get stuck out side.
well it runs again! just drove it out of the garage and washed it real quick and put it right back it. sounds sweet and am now ready to work on it more now that i know everything is working. hears the pics i snapped: and the new clutch!
Hmmmmm. You sure you couldn't fit a larger turbo in there? More is more, right?:laugh::laugh::laugh: Looks good sucka. You drivin that bitch down to get tunned once the motor is together?
i rape your car yes???? matt im goin up to riches for sure on saturday you need me to still bring up that suspension??
i hope so. there need to be more though. wish mn subaru enthusiasts wanted to make really fast cars and actually did. ray im referring to you ...
I will aim to be the fastest Forester by next year wont be hard.. Fong's about the only competition and tetsusan.... but with a minimum of a 20G and mods.. I should be good to go... h aha wont be a Fobia beast but heck... it is a brick
actually technically yes but no... he still has an EXHAUST that is the dump tubing from the waste-gate I believe.... there is no way that would be legally street-able without one...
this is how it looks and works: this is my old setup. when the cut out is closed it goes to the back of the car and when it opens it comes out the side. i ditched this setup because it came down on the dyno straps so i never could open it to tune for it.
Just make sure that your pumps dont overload your return.Any pressure in that tank would be an enormous car fire you may not survive.
both are dam near the same thing. the big deference is that a swirl pot gets rid of air better for a less chance of loosing pressure.
very true, but with the existing baffles in the tank, you already have a pretty slim chance of loosing pressure. seems a simple surge tank would already be over kill.....and would have been waaayyy easier to fabricate. surge tanks are a common thread over on Ultimate subaru, as the fuel tanks on carberated models don't have the baffles, so when doing an EJ swap, it becomes an issue...but even then, only occasionally, and only under 1/4 tank or so.
well when your using a inline pump you need to use some kind of swirl pot/ surge tank(like i said there the same thing). and when you start getting into e85/e98 like i plan on running, you can go threw a tank of gas easy in one night. and with the shifting of gears of slight turns you get swishing of the fuel and in tank pumps suck air in. and that is what i don't want. inline aeromotive pumps have been known to break when they don't have enough fuel. so i think this setup will serve its purpose.
so when the swirl pot breaks im going to catch on fire from a cig lighter? ***walks out to car and removes cig lighter***
what do you have to do to run E85, Im thinking about running that in my race cell instead of race fuel since its easier to get here than race fuel. Can my braided lines handle straight E85
