add something special to your engine bay or something... whens the next time you plan on having the car this naked?
i am going to paint it. just white and black though. black cage and frame with white panels and black clips and rivets. the out side stays white and will look the same as it was before.
^^ one of my purchases shortly when the house is done... found a reasonable one for general duty for like under $1000....
As insanely awesome as your build is, I just don't understand why, if your gutting it to this extent, didn't you sell your car as an Sti, and buy a super highmileage RS or something...Is it all for sentimental value?
1. i have it already 2. its my favorite year and make 3. i don't have stock parts to put it back to stock 4. old subaru parts are not worth crap. i sold all the parts im replacing and its paying for my build 5. this has no rust 6. its white already 7. already started a project with it so i have to finish it 8. ect..........
^ I wasn't questioning his decision, I was just curious, and all his responses make perfect sense to me. That Being said, I can't wait to see what this thing does when it's done, I thing this is one of 2 cars I know of that I'd literally pay money to get a ride in.
some stuff is slowly starting to show up. got my cage and rear end today. so far i just put it together and have to wait to cut it to length tell i get my wheels and rear axle housing. so i should be able to start soon..
yes as you can see from the pics. it was a pre bent cage. im welding it and adding a ton to make it fully a tube chassis
yea, the cage doesn't surprise me much. I'm mostly wondering about the rear end. is it designed for a certain car (obviously not a subie)?
