More like failing to recognize there's more to the "car scene" than whatever subsection they're trying to turn a profit on. Maybe some of those builds aren't "hardcore" because that's not how we do things. There is a hilariously hypocritical aspect to a scene all about being different and rebellious for the sake of being different and rebellious taking issue with people not building their cars to a very constrained set of possible specifications and excluding them from being considered part of local car culture.
