Maybe lunds or byerlys, great chao (sp?) if it still exists, or coastal seafoods. There is also a French duck farmer guy out in the boonies that sells all types of curing salts, I could look into that tomorrow
after 16 yrs of working in kitchens nueskes is by far one of the best i have ever had. 6.99 a pound at cub spendy but so worth it
now your computer can give you coffee.. BACON and what else... http://www.wisebread.com/get-your-pc-to-give-you-coffee-bacon-or-even-an-orgasm
Macenthuns (sp?) meat market in St. Boni has excellent applewood smoked bacon. It isnt too horribly priced either. Worth a shot if you are in the area.
100.3 had a WHOLE hour dedicated to bacon this morning... ha haa I almost wanted to call people and tell them... the guest even had a band called bacon rules the world or something
Bacon Night, Heck yes! For all those interested: Free Bacon Night Wednesday @ Triple Rock Social Club July 15th 9 - 11pm until supplies run out http://www.triplerocksocialclub.com/shows/ Whoo hoo!
mmmm....I'm eating lunch right now. Ham n cheese sammich and I sprinkled some bacon flavored salt on it.
Actually my tool of choice is basically a beer bong type apparatus and a bunch of 5 gallon jugs. Oh and most importantly my rainsuit for when it gets messy:eek3:
How do you fit so many slices in one pan, oh great master of bacon? I am usually limited to 4 slices, and this greatly delays my bacon joy.
I just tried the bacon spam, I fried it with some bacon and had fried bacon spam sammy with bacon ontop. It was very good
I fried it up on Saturday morning. I put it on a bagle with egg and cheese :yumyum: it's making me hungry again just thinking about it.
Also...it is okay to overload it a tad, as the bacon will shrink as it cooks Also, stop in at the Wayzata eatery for lunch sometime and have a BLT. Heirloom tomatoes, my house made garlic-herb aioli, avocado, and sugar-cured hardwood-smoked BACON. Maybe the best evar :yumyum:
Yeah, you buy me one and I'll eat it. I don't know if I could afford your food. (btw - you guys need any help serving that food of yours?)
ps: we're making maple-candied bacon right now with yummy niman ranch applewood smoked dry-cured bacon. *drool* if you've never tried it, it's a must. you can get grade b maple syrup at trader joe's but note that you must refrigerate it after opening! i normally keep the mrs. butterworth's on the shelf and didn't notice that little warning on the grade b until after mine had grown mold, fyi. the niman ranch bacon is also fairly reasonably priced at trader joe's, like $4 for a package, and it's way better than normal store bacon!
