Are you going to use the dei wrap seal on it also?? When we wrapped Steve-o's stuff, it was a pain in the ass. You almost need 3 people to hold everything and get the wrap on nice and tight. Russ
soaking the wrap in water makes it easier to get tight. a table vice with duct tape on teh clamps always works good as a second set of hands, as long as you dont over tight and dent the piping.
Yes, I bought the whole kit from Summit. There will be a heat blanket over the exhaust side of the turbo as well :yumyum:
per the heat blanket... powerlabs cooked a turbo and he believed it was because he had a blanket on his turbo. i've read a decent amount about it and i'm indifferent but maybe you want to chat with him first. just a thought
looking good dream, don't supose your getting a little excited to go out and drive that beast are you
Thats a purty wrapping job there Matt. Heh, 16 hours?! Sheeeeit that would be tedious. Looking good Erik.
VERY nice! Dream, did I meet you at LSE this past weekend? I met someone that pulled up in a silver with FMIC and his girlfriend. Same guy? If so, I didn't realize this project is completed. Are you just waiting to get tuned through Jorge?
Yep that was me. Project is 99% complete. Matt just needs to finish up the electronics and touch up on a few small things and ill be getting tuned on the 6th by Jorge
Nice! Looks like a killer project. Looking forward to the results done up by Jorge. I need to get dynoed at RS Motors for reference compared to the numbers in a week or so..
sweet. Nice job on the blowthrough MAF -- however, I would have suggested to rotate it 180*. You want the longest and straightest section just before the sensor to reduce turbulence.
Yah I was thinking more of ware I can wrought the wires best. Move it farther down and I have to worry about the ac or the fans.
Oh yeah, I totally see what you're saying. It's in the best location, by far. I'm just nitpicking over a few inches in sensor placement because I'm anal like that.
quoted because FINALLY it comes out yes..that thing is absolutely massive. fob's tell you that you have a new whole in your fender as of late last night?
Looks good maing... Just out of curiosity, how many bends did you need to use for the piping? Did a kit last year and it was a ridiculous amount of bends. We didn't rotate the IM though(not really sure why, wasn't running the show then). You should come up here for a track day this year! Our track>Rock Falls
ya know with a nice hole like that in your fender you could put a GT40r down there.... man this is cool stuff. when is it going to be back on the road?
yes! we got the oven set up late last night. you should come over saturday with everyone else and do that for him. erik...be quiet
