My thoughts? Controlled by my work, apparently. Big server upgrade happening that weekend, and I need to be on-call in case of issues. So, I'm a no-go, unless I hear otherwise on that Saturday. :unamused: Crossing my fingers that I'll be able to jet up there Saturday afternoon if the upgrade goes smoothly.
Its starting to look like I'm going to be a maybe for this. My dog is haveing some serious health issues that are going to be very expensive to fix. I'll give you advance notice if I'm a no. As of now, still attending, but its not looking good as far as money goes.

Do you need one of those state park sticker/pass things to get into Split Rock? I thought I recalled something about needing one to get in last I was there. I am not 100% sure about that, but might be worth looking into.
Excellent post! YES there is a $5.00 per vehicle pass fee... Thats a one time 24hr pass for All MN State Parks, ( Gooseberry and Split rock) To see the lighthouse its is $8.00 per person over 10 and under 65.
glad I bought one earlier in the summer. I was hoping I didnt waste $24 by only using it to go camping 1 time.

Alright, its a go. We made it work so I can still attend. Going to stick with the group until we get to duluth, then break off once there. Heading to fitgers for lunch, a beer and a growler. Then heading back home.

Just got an update from my brother up there, light snow projected Saturday and Sunday! It's gunna be great! *camera will be ready to shoot all day either day!
Might depend on your setup. I know for a fact that my summers do not do well with even the slightest dusting of snow on the ground. Already had a bad experience with that. If temps are going to be 40s I might be rolling on the Hakkas.
This was taken directly from NOAA.gov for Duluth, MN. I think it would be great to get some snow in the pics we take up at gooseberry/split rock esp. if the fall colors are still up. just want to be prepared.
Yeah, my set up right now I question when its raining. let alone snowing. My blizzaks are beat up from rally this year. errrr! damn.
haha. me too. I wont be that bad running snows, just wont be able to push them as hard in JCSP. everything else would be fine, since besides that it mostly easy highway stuff.
