35 W closed before the merg of W and E, we are running behind. I can't belive how ice the hwys are! sooooo many accidents!
I just got home. Had fun for the short time I was up there. Was a hell of allot of cars up there too! Roads were slick in spots on the way up, but north of forrest lake salt was down and it really wasnt a problem. It was just crappy in the cities, then there was that bad rollover at the split. I want to say there was around 40 cars.
Once we got to Two Harbors I headed back home to Duluth. Pretty fun driving with a big pack of Subies! I am excited to see everyone's pictures
As soon as my wife gets home (she knows how to wurk stuf) the pics will be off the camera, and uploaded. I cant figure this technology bs out. How were the the roads/ temps in 2Harbors? ****Oh, btw, once you get close to the split of 35e and 35w, get off and take the hwy 61 south detour. 35 is at a stand still. Construction at the first point of lane closure is smooth sailing, but at the 2nd point its really slow going.
I uploaded a few pics to my facebook, I will try and get them on the site at some point but it may be a few days. I got a TON of photos. Feel free to ad me as a friend on facebook and check out the pics. [email protected]
its ok Russ to give in and get a facebook......i gave in and got one........mostly so i COULD view photos.
I had a great time on the cruise. It was fun to meet alot of new people. Also those of use headed back to the TCs this morning went through Jay Cook and it was fabulous. The sun was out and the colors were perfect. Took it easy on the roads but still had a great time. Also I did not lose that much tread of my Hakkas so I am happy.
On Sunday afternoon I was driving from Duluth to Kettle River(south). And low and behold I see two sweet ass Subarus. I wish I had read this forum just a day earlier.:ugh: So if anyone saw a goofy white dude givin you the thumbs up on the way home... that was me.
agreed, I had a great time in the cruise. I come from a small town and this was the first time I saw more than 2 wrx/sti's let alone about 40 of them. Thanks a lot guys. Big thanks to chris for tellin me about mnsubaru and the Duluth cruise
