Duluth Trip (Date Set: October 15-16) FIRESTONE - SAT @ 9AM

what are we planing as far as hotels-lodging

 

well did we just want to make this a long day trip, or do we want to spend the night. Any thoughts?

 

my g/f works at super 8...i bet we can get a killer deal on a couple rooms

 

we could easily get there, spend a bunch of time there, maybe 3-4 hours, and then be home bye 10 or 11

 

so who wants to be penciled in??

speeding would be t3h lose with gas prices the way they are...speed limit for me!

 

its like 65 the whole way, i dont plan on going fast, but im sure were gonna want to have some fun, and its always "better safe then sorry"

Can you put me down for a maybe? My folks live up in Duluth, it would be a good excuse to go see them. Oh and if you're not doing anything you can pencil me in too.

good curves u mean by some nice mountain roads? i know a few but u can only go fast in the night time, people jog there in the day time and in night time u can see headlights.

umm..to do something as a group. Hang out with some duluth members.

 

Ya'll are welcome at my place...you'll probably have to sleep on the floor, and park a block or two away, but it's the right price, as long as you bring me food, and NO alcohol.

so are we going to make it an over night deal? give the cars a chance to cool down?

if so leave fri evening- night road cruises in duluth maybe hit lake st (or other popular places) chill and have car wash/photo ops and be back mid-late afternoon?

or leave sat morning cruise, and photo first, nght driving fun. then sunday morning home?

or do it all on sat? (long A$& Day!)

also on the way up should go to fast, granted it is 35. but err umm some on the cars (mainly the non turbo variety) have issues with getting up to certian velocities.

btw we should have a meeting place since ppl are coming from north and south. shoudl give a time and place. ie chuxs @ 4 or overlook ......... @ 5

this is gonna be a blast.

 

i'd say leave early saturday morning, stay in at hotel saturday, then take er easy sunday morning, have breakfast and what not.

anyone have any idea what were gona do or where we are going to go, Is anyone else going (Russ, Eric, Arron,Matt, Jason,??) or are you afraid to go that far from home LOL j/k

 

I will be here in Duluth waiting for you guys, but once you get here I will struggle to keep up. Things to do? cruise around the city? eat somewhere? take lots of pictures? should be a great time with the leaves turning, but who knows by mid oct they might be all off the trees.

 

don't worry, I'm sure I'll be the slowest one in the group.

I'm thinking maybe a cruise (notice the word cruise, as in nice leisurely drive, so I don't get left behind!) to Two Harbors, or maybe the length of skyline parkway, I've never done that. stop, take a few pictures, maybe go out to eat, see a movie, drive out on park point, have a mini-meet at my place, get to know each other. maybe just go up to the home depot (Or elsewhere with a big parking lot) and put on a short car show, just park, open our hoods, walk around and get to know each other!

 

Yea, crusing skyline might be really fun, or we can cruise up to two harbors for food or something. Park point is also a good option, seeing that its probably wont be busy down there since its getting colder out.

 

isnt lake ST the big cruising friday night place up there? maybe we shoudl claim a lot somewhere down there? unless the Duluth guys have already done so.

Chux you can ride w/ me if you dont wanna get left behind.....although it probably wont help much.

Canal Park/Lake Ave? yea during the summer... its mostly highschool people though, so if your into the younger women go for it.
