Duluth Trip (Date Set: October 15-16) FIRESTONE - SAT @ 9AM

yep, i am now 90% sure I will be there!
just need to finish a few things on my impreza this weekend, pack, then meet up with everyone next weekend!

and I will have Freddie with me too, in case anyone needs to know about extra people...

and chux- the offroad thing sounds good! hopefully the things I am doing to my car this weekend will help with the offroad-ability :twisted:

 

I'm down, I'm going to raise my car for the winter and put on the snow tires. And this will all be done this weekend!!! I'm so glad to be back on dirt :lol:

 

Well guys I won't make the duluth run. I have to go to Perham MN to talk with photographers for my wedding next summer. I would love to go, but it is not in the cards. I will just have to convince the fience that I get to add parts to my car instead.

FYI: I am planning on heading to FS this friday around 7:30 or 8, if any of you are going to be around, I would like to meet you and put some faces to screen names. Later, Bill

 

i will try to be down at firestone for atleast alitle bit, prolly around 7 or so and leave by 9:30 or 10.

 

me and my friend are in 100% we already have our money set aside.. i wish more people would get involved.. so many people have posted saying how cool this would be but they dont join in

ok, did a little research, the cops only ticket for overnight parking on the wrong side of the street. or if you're on a narrow street for a long time and traffic can't get around. Anyway, 8th st (where I live) is one of those narrow streets, where there's barely enough room for parked car, and 2-way traffic, frequently if there are parked cars, and a car comes from the other way, one of you has to stop.

BUT 1st Ave (3 houses down) is very wide, and rarely has cars parked on it. we could easily get 15 cars parked on the one block right next to my house.

cliff notes: we can meet here. lots of parking on 1st AVE

also, seriously, is this just another opportunity for you to all get s**tfaced? or are you all really interested in coming to duluth, meeting members from other parts of the state, and actually remembering the trip? This sounded like a really good idea when it first started, but I'm rapidly losing interest.

 

i'm interested in coming up to have a good time.. wether its to drive on some really fun roads or just hang out with a bunch of suby guys i dont care

Yea I don't think I can make it either.... too far of a drive. Especially all the way over to Chux's place on 8th. That's like 4 miles. /me cries

I would book a room but I have to go into work sunday so I can have the following friday off for LSPR

 

the only thing im worried about is my tires.. if u guys are gonna be doing some driving fun i might not be able to keep up.. i might just have to chill at the hotel or something

I still think it would be really fun to go to a bar/grill sort of place, where we can all get something that we want. alcohol will be available, burgers, sandwiches, salads, etc. and at Grizzly's, there'd be plenty of space for all of us to park there too!

I understand going to battle scars parents place...but what do you expect? free dinner for all of us?

 

i wasnt expecting free dinner at all...just a discount. I just threw it out as an idea because everyone is ALWAYS b!tching about moeny. I dont care where we eat out, we'll just have to call ahead to make sure we can get a group seated.

anyway, sorry, I didn't mean to sound like such a downer, but the tcstangs group came up last weekend, and 3 of my friends said they were coming (and bringing the video of me swamping my car), and they all backed out, and my weekend sucked balls. I'm also not as interested in asian food...so, no offense to battle scar, his parents' place doesn't sound as interesting to me.

 

+1 on the asian food thing...not a big fan...but whatever floats your boat

 

American Grill at the mall has good food, and a bar. There's also Bettys Pies RIGHT outside of Two Harbors (north side), big place, big parking lot, good grilled type food (AND AWESOME PIES!) not sure if they have booze though.

Also does anyone have little 2way radios (walkie talkies) or whatever? we used these on the Minnesota Sport Compact fall cruise and they worked great.
