Has anyone used these on their cars or have any opinions on them? If they work and are not harmful they seem like they would be good to dynamically take the wobble out of a wheel when there is unbalanced snow frozen on them which happens to me all the time in the winter. http://www.innovativebalancing.com/index.php
Snow frozen in your wheels? Reminds me of my thread from last year... http://mnsubaru.com/threads/you-know-what-someone-needs-to-invent.41301/ Those frankenstein wheel scrapers that I designed (see page 2, patent pending ) are still going strong...I use it almost every time before I put the car in the garage to clear snow from the wheel wells/wheels. Primitive Racing also released these, but I think they only work on 15" wheels: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?...63301.239916556089369&type=1&relevant_count=1 As far as the Dyna Beads you speak of? Haven't heard of them until now. I don't have problems with tires being out of balance unless they've been raced on too hard lol.
Yeah I actually read that thread and I want to make the wheel scrapers like the rally cars have but haven't gotten around to it. I also have a random shimmy at around highway speeds on my summer tires/wheels and I had them rebalanced which made it better but still not completely gone. Its not a huge annoyance but these seemed like they would be perfect as long as they aren't voodoo bull****.
I know a lot of people who use beads for balancing large offroad tires with excellent results. But...not sure if the smaller size of a car tire would make them less effective.
Brand new Enkei, not bent but I suppose there could be a manufacturing defect. More likely is just the random tire shop didn't balance the best.
I have them in my motorcycle front and rear tires and they work awesome. I changed the tires myself so had no way to balance. The rear is a little smaller than a subaru wheel. 195/45 17. I got them locally from a place listed on the dynabeads website it was a guy selling them from his house in maplewood or st paul area. They were $3 an onuce 2 onuces for a car wheel. They work perfectly on my bike and a friends bike. You don't need the filtered valve cores like the dynabeads website says.
