thats really funny that your peak HP number is just a little higher than mine, 251, and im only runnin the 18g. Your tourqe number is way higher than mine though, I only got 264. Those numbers are also on 110 octane. I know what you mean Echo. My sheet definately doesn't show the numbers I wanted but my god I can feel the differance and it is a big one. I unfortunately am back at school now and can't enjoy the car but i am very excited to get back to it.
I just wanted it to at least keep up with a stock sti. Now I just need some brakes to stop this monster! And some suspension mods to keep it on the road coming from stage one. I'm extremely happy with the way the car moves. I can't imagine what dream's car feels like. It's gotta be pretty ridiculous! Thanks again to all involved in the dyno day. Matt for the install and Jorge for the tune 'Twas good times and well worth it!
I hit 370whp on pump gas and 477/435 on 110 :yumyum: I love it!!!!!!!!! Thanks to everybody who participated, I had a great time on Saturday. Ill try to setup another event later this summer
ok. here is what happens when you run the deadbolt td06 20g on a 2.5 with a catless exhaust. your car goes up on the dyno. with the waste gate wide open it continues to build boost untill you take your foot off the pedal. there is no way to control it. no ammount of porting can stop it. no thing to tune around, no fix. it's like putting hendrix up against a marshal stack and trying to stop the feedback by putting your fingers in your ears.. you watch in dismay as your car is taken off the dyno and your tuner walks over with a look on his face, not unlike a surgeon with bad news.. i just want to say thanks to everyone that went out of their way to cheer me up. jorge thanks for being straight forward about it. pete, justin, matt thanks for the encouragement. and OMFG josh, one word for you. IHAVENEVERBEENSOFULLANDWANTEDTOKEEPEATINGINMYENTIRELIFE!!!1! i had an amazing time at solara. thank you so much for your hospitality....
Damn, sorry Aaron. I thought that was going to be me too with my busted actuator. Sell it and get a 35R! And my pleasure. Wish I could have made it.
It was nice to meet a few of you guys on Sunday. Justin took me for a ride in his car for the maiden voyage. I've been in a typical stage 2 auto.... His hauls and I was suprised by how smoothly it shifted too. He couldn't stop smiling and I can't blame him. I did a baseline pull in order to compare before and after. It doesn't show a big change. However, it feels like more of an improvement on the butt dyno and it's way smoother.
