So, Monday I refilled my car at a different location then I usually go to. Tuesday My engine light came on and I noticed my AFR gauge showing 10-12 ratios on just cruising down the road. I got engine code p1153. I was thinking that it was my O2 sensor going bad, but after reading online it could also be the fact that e85 winter blend is actually e70 and the fuel I put in its causing my car to run richer for the lack of octane in the fuel that my car was tuned for. Anyone know if its fine if I just drive it regularly in the winter casually and not try and drive like you would in the summer? -car was tuned at MAP in the spring.
Did you contact the person that tuned your car? I would suggest that since they have access to what they did to your car.
I was planning on doing that after work today. I was hoping to get some input if any of what I'm saying makes sense. Because trying to sell a car with a CEL doesn't work.
That's an O2 sensor code. I would start by checking/replacing that sensor. Going from E85 to E70 isn't going to cause your closed loop AFR's to change that much. They're just going rich because the car is in some kind of limp mode because it's not getting the right reading from the O2 sensor.
