I am in the process of rebuilding the 1994 JDM GC8 WRX engine we swapped into my sons 1992 Legacy. New forged Wiseco pistons, Manley rods, ACL bearings, etc. Any leads on a good machine shop to line bore the block? Where is a good shop in the cities area for final tuning after the rebuild is complete?
    Thanks
    Terry

What engine management? Not sure on align boring the case halves. I would ask Bikerboy. He builds/assembles 2-3 of these engines a week.

With what hardware/software? That ecu isn't supported with open source.

I don't really follow. I know it's OBDI and needs to be flashed. I'm just wondering if anyone in the area has any knowledge or recommendations.

Most likely will have to get some sort of piggyback/standalone

Not all ecu can just be flashed. The software(open source/ecuflash), Only works on some year model cars. Mostly 2002 an up. Most with older models use a standalone. I wouldn't even recommend a piggy back nowadays. Standalone ecu are now just as affordable and not that hard to install. Considering the installer understands engine electronics.

Thanks for the replies. I will keep them in mind. Finally just got an Apexi ECU. Most problems should go away now.
