I didn't notice what they had done to that B18 till you pointed that out. That's just wrong.

Holster - I would be incline to taking the drive. I need to get familar with they scene. PM me incase I forget. I post on both forums as well, but were are all the drivers at?

Yeah guys, on july 5th they are having a drift day even I beleive from 12-4 but don't quote me on that. If you want to see tandem drifting and even cars three wide doing third gear initiations (for those who don't know about drifting, initiating in third gear is not for the faint of heart and takes skill) there are several drivers that have their formula-d liscenses and some that should aslo have them too that will be there. In the evening Elko is having their normal events and their will be two drift demos at night, look for lots of smoke and 12' flames and sparking cords coming off the tires. Their tires last less than 8 minutes in these demos.

i think only a couple guys there have their FD licenses. the event starts at 12 but they will be filling the pits at 830. i really want to get there as soon as they start to arrive to get some static shots before i have to change modes on the camera to pan.

Several or a couple, same difference, I know Ryan Clemens has his and I am sure the guy with the black Miata that won the region last year will be there too. I feel Mike Pollard (sp?) should have his too, but there might have been some politics at play in Laughlin NV last year.

not everyone from clubFR can be at elko because space is limited. all of those guys you mentioned have the opportunity to sign up but something tells me they wont all show up for minnesota. if they do than ill eat my words because that will make for an amazing event to see. but i dont think and from the sound on D-town and ClubFR, they arent all gonna come

Yeah I am not sure, I was talking to Kevin (khilgers) and he said all the seats are full, 19 from MN and one from Fargo. I know Mike will be there, and Ryan got his new transmission in and I am sure scott will be too. But either way it should be a good show and the demo(s) are always fun to watch.

Yes, bring a helmet it is sooo worth the ride. Beef had taken me out a few times and you better bring a spare pair of shorts too. I kinda sad that his car is gone now, but he has a new one in the works. I believe, rob (black Miata) is in Japan, he may be back he took a teaching job over there.

Musashi you might remember me from Clubsi days. 91 pewter da teg with the yellow inserts in the seats. (Back when that was cool)

I believe I do remember you, the screen name does look familar, we definately have to introduce ourselves again. I just found out about Beef's car situation recently. The only time I get scare of riding with people is when they can't drive. LOL See you at the event, bro! We'll need to catch up on old times.

I just sold my DC2 w/jdm frontend recently. The good old days!

I saw a few of those 240s @ MPLS HIN. Looks like a blast, if I had the funds I'd be right back in a 240.

Now you tell me. What would really be nice is if we had some serious winter here in MN, the last few years has been just pooh. I along with many others I'm sure practice their D4 in the winter conditions. D4 because we are doing it in our Subaru's in Snow. Anyway I guess each platform has built for its purpose. And with the new addition I'll have one of each all at the same time, and each will perform well in its own catagory.

So I know a few of you guys are bringing camera's, but who is bringing the umbrella and the grill, come on we're gonna get hungary guys! :yumyum:

Well I made it out there, and had a great time, wasn't able to catch a ride, kept getting passed on. I was able to find Carl, but no one else. I probably won't be going back out to Elko ever again, I think they can do without the huge tires and junk cars in the center. I plan to go to the Shanowa, WI track.

It was nice to see we have some fairly skilled drift drivers and some potentials one along the way in MN. I hope you boys got some pictures of the pretty ones in the parking lot. Oh yeah and I because of the crazy wind we had today I found some loose cash on the ground. LOL

a lot less carnage at elko than at usair or road america - at those tracks people lose a lot more aero due to haybales, running off into the dirt, and rumble strips

I was sitting in the bleachers on the right side of the red tall bleacher to keep the wind out from blowing in my face. I went looking around for ya, but didn't have such luck.

We saw your car. But didn't see you until you were exiting the parking lot.

    Vinyls look great btw.

There were really quite a few Subarus in the lot! The four guys that were doing the evening drift session tore it up and had red, white, and blue Falkens smoking in honor of the 4th! You guys that left missed out!
