One more “review”. Of all of the model lines that Subaru offers...the BRZ seems to be the one that would most benefit from a “d-shaped” steering wheel.

    Carry on.

I really wanted to do a road trip to get a car before the RS3 or Type RA, but they both ended up being so close. Truly jealous. I have always wanted to do that.

It is truly an experience! And the best part was getting to know it so intimately right when you get it. It usually takes time to figure out quirks, likes, dislikes, etc. But with this method, it’s immediate.

Back in business!! Only took the DMV 13 months!?!

Fwiw. Grace helped me install both plates and change the oil in blu v2.0! She’s 4 years old. :D

Still need to do something about those tail lights! Funny that they went with Valenti style tails on the 17+ models. I’d take a set of those over these any day of the week!

Still am. C8 comes out this year so hoping that drives down the cost of the C7 some more so I can be able to afford a Grand Sport.
Either way was not sure that the wagon would be able to handle another 140-160k of work during the life of the loan for the vette so opted
    to upgrade my DD first!

*AKA* Buy my wagon as you winter car ;)

Not sure what kind of deals you're seeing or expecting to come up, but this seemed like relevant information for you...

Bump! Well, it has been 6 years now with the BRZ. So here is a short update, for those who are interested. Here we go again with “Pros vs. Cons”!

    Pros:
1)First and foremost again, looks. This thing is timeless in its beauty and I will never grow old of looking at it! I took it for a couple of 200 mile road trips last summer/fall and enjoyed every second behind the wheel. At my second event, a men’s retreat in McGregor MN, I was able to share the experience with my friend Olaf who drove it hard and couldn’t stop giggling! I gave him a quick test drive in it where I rang it out thoroughly to show him “how I drive it” so that he wouldn’t pussyfoot it. He drove it at 10/10’s and had an absolute blast!
2)Gas mileage. With our last couple of years of inflation, it is still appreciated.
3)the value was $15k when I bought it with 58,000 miles on it. The last I checked they are selling at $20k with nearly 100k, which I now have on it.
4)I hit 100k miles and didn’t have to have the timing belt replaced!
5)Still driving it hard and it is still enjoying it as far as I can tell!

    Cons:
1)did I ever mention the cup holders in the center console? Lmao. They still suck and I believe it is still my least favorite thing about the BRZ. And I consider that a win if it’s the worst thing! Lol
2)the fuel pump/evap whatever thingamajig. The BRZ will run the fuel pump or evap system periodically and it will drain the battery, what I would consider to be exceptionally fast. The obviously fix to this will be a battery maintainer/trickle charger while it rests in the garage. I can’t drive it enough to keep it charged and that is a bit annoying. I hope that my brand new battery will still take a charge after a full discharge. Cuz she is d-e-d dead.
3)Could still benefit from a “D-style” steering wheel. But that one is literally just a personal thing as I believe that a normal steering wheel is quite functional.

Anyways, probably my last post of input on BRZ ownership here. But it is truly a great car and I strongly recommend grabbing one up before they are all gone or trashed! I’ve seen some for under $10k with hail damage if you just want one for the track!

Also, @readymix , it is still all one body color. ;)

Yeah, I can understand your enthusiasm about it, but what about that dark blue thing in the background? I also pictured you as slightly older.

You definitely are! I just don’t think that I am going to find something new about the car to post about. I’ve pretty much exhausted this thread relating to my thoughts/review of ownership. That is all. Sexy

    Ha yea close call there.

Still cool to see the first hand reports of owning one. Wish I had the garage space or i'd love one too.

It’s not that I think that Audi’s aren’t nice cars or anything, but I have heard from many reviews that the R8’s are numb feeling. As where the Lotus, I have heard none of those things.:uhhuh:
