Will you be applying lipstick and making a hitlist of past highschool enemies? mmmm.mmmm steve buschemi.
I have no high school enemies. I keep in regular contact with one person from my high school. The rest of them are still probably rotting in SW Minnesota. Of my high school graduating class I know of only 2 people that left the state (SDSU does not constitute leaving the state IMHO). Most of the music that I'm putting in my playlist is actually from my lost Army years (read: drunken Korean stupor years). Many fond memories, indeed.
Screeching Weasels Black Flag Circle Jerks Misfits Descendents NOFX Danzig Fugazi Minor Threat Pennywise Bad Religion to name a couple
Really!? How was the show? I used to rock the amazing jekyl brothers cd in my buddies chevy celebrity. ODB's guest appearance...B1tches!
Well I had it in my 84 Cutlas Supreme! The show was pretty good actually. I seen them with Biohazard and Crazy bone one year also. For the Jeckyl Bro's tour. Biohazard was F'n nuts. Course the eight of shrooms with a stadium of painted juggalo faces jumping around probably didn't help either :hsugh:
If were talking 90's it's gotta be Beatie Boys Rage Against the Machine Temple of the Dog Soundgarden Oasis Live Pearl Jam Seven Mary Three The Wallflowers Counting Crows Hootie and the Blowfish Alanis Morissette Guns N' Roses
I'm impressed with the amount of rock/punk stuff being mentioned:slayer:for once there is a music thread were I recognize the name of bands not a bunch of dj whatshisnuts and whatnot.
Nice Sheen! But you forgot Talib Kweli! Sonic Youth...haven't listened to them forever! Steph-Pantera rocked hard! Also. Suicidal Tendancies Siverchair Mad Seasons Anthrax Temple of the Dog Helmet Rancid ...Cypress Hill
I like 80's rock X Japan Fire House Deff Leppard Metallica and most of all the old 80's ballad songs.
Neither would I. I was commenting on the fact that most music threads seam to be about some dj coming to town and that this one about BANDS has been kinda neat cause it brings me personally back to the bands of my yesteryear.
I think pretty much every band I would mention has already been highlighted. ....and a bunch I wouldn't.
Our Lady Peace has yet to be mentioned yet, was just listening to the Clumsy album today im thinking kalie must have put it in the cd player
I'm obsessed with 80's Pop & New Wave...Morrissey, The Smiths, Depeche Mode, Human League, The Cure, Information Society, Simple Minds, Flock of Seagulls, Billy Idol, A - Ha, etc.
I like Skinny Puppy. A LOT. An awful lot. They are still going strong .. ish. Strong-ish. yeah. That's it. The new stuff is no TDP or last Rights but it's better than half the "industrial" or "goth" music I hear nowadays. I also have a soft spot for some 80's bands - like the Fixx. And Joy Division.
Oh, speaking of industrial... Ministry Nailbomb also comes to mind... which brings up Sepultura and I'm spent. For now...
also every silverchair album untill "neon ballroom" which doesnt fit into this category anyway, because it came out in 03 or something
Ministry, yes .. Throbbing Gristle, Psychick TV ... Pigface, KMFDM (also PIG), Sister Machine Gun ...
:bowdown:Ah, Skinny Puppy...the memories. I used to be a hardcore fan, maybe a bit too hardcore. I had a crazy crazy incident at one of their shows at 1st Ave back in early 90's. Hardcore industrial rock + (let's just say stuff) + pit = :eek3: Also liked The Hilt and The Tear Garden Other old favs from the 80s-early 90s... Ministry Slayer KMFDM Front 242 Megadeath Marilyn Manson Nine Inch Nails Metalica GodFlesh Alice in chains
ahh yes, I'll show you my tattoo when it's warmer and I can wear short sleeves. I've been a fan for almost 10 years now. Also .. Hilt and TG but: aduck download legendary pink dots dead voices on air OhGr cEvin Key's solo stuff philth Ritalin (Rx) puppy puppy puppy ** and I am jealous that you saw them before Dwayne died.
I saw them twice within the last 5 years - after their "reunion" show in germany. Not too bad, but dwayne's parts were obviously sampled. IT was still an excellent show though... both times! We should discuss the Puppy someday ... Antagonism /Favorite Track //w00t! (sorry guys, SP is to me what Tool is to some members here. I hope it makes sense now why I get giddy when I find another fan )
