Not sure if this is the right forum or right way to do this (mods can move to the correct forum), but I'm thinking about ordering a TurboXS mid and y pipe for my 08 LGT and wanted to know if anyone else wants to order with me. If one other person wants to do it, it would come direct from turboxs at a very significant discount (PM me for the price - I removed it from this post just because I don't know if it might ruffle any feathers of any vendors or anything). It would have to be shipped to one address. I imagine the price might go a little lower if more than one other person wants to go in on this.

This mid and y will bolt up to stock axle back and should also mount up to a variety of dp's or other axle backs. Youtube video below. Sounds like it could potentially be relatively quiet compared to some cbe's except that it's especially raspy on decel. I'm thinking this would sound a lot better with a resonator welded in the mid pipe to get rid of the rasp.

Post back if interested and we could work out the details. I don't think I'll do this if I go alone just because I would be adding an additional resonator. The price break on 2 sets would justify me trying this out.

I hope that this is a good deal.. IMO it sounds like it was constructed out of a couple Folgers cans..

    To each their own :)

Yeah, it's weird. The construction looks fine and the idea is good, but the result is not I think a resonator in the mid would make a big difference here to get rid of the high frequency/rasp. I wouldn't mind taking a risk on it if the price gets low enough, but that means getting one or two others on board too. Or more finagling with turboxs.

Yikes, that does not sound good. I think your money would be better spent on a 3" dp and just hook that up to the stock exhaust.

That's what my plan was (already have a dp bought), but I thought a mid and y upgrade to the stock axleback would be better. I still think a resonator would calm this down to where it should be. But then, I guess maybe the question is, why didn't they do that in the first place?

Changed my mind on this. They haven't responded to my last couple of emails about the sound and lack of resonator. Going to stick with my OEM catback for stealth and noise level. Just purchased a Grimmspeed UP and typhoon air intake to go with my invidia DP and call it good for now. Will install the goodies some weekend in the next couple of months and get it tuned. Not looking for crazy power.
