As title states im wondering if anyone knows of some fender liners that are a littler more durable then oem as we all live in Minnesota you can understand my frustration of during the winter the fender liners always seem to get demolished. more so up here maybe then for you folks down in the cities being i have 2 quite commonly drive through the freshly fallen snow for a day or 2 before the plows make it out 2 my house to clean up the mess. if we get alot of snow and its cold out ( i know cold in the winter who knew) it seems like the flexing of the bumper from the snow hitting it causes my fender liners 2 always crack. so i was wondering if anyone knows of any company's that make some that are a little stronger.

we made one out of 1/8" thick polypropylene for the rally car. it requires some drilling through the car though to bolt it in. it's lasted quite well for nearly 200 stage miles (typically we lose 1 or 2 fender liners per rally).

normally foot deep snow sometimes plow drifts because the plow goes by on the hwy but the county has not came out 2 plow.

it's mainly jumps that rip our liners out. rally tires are taller than a stock sized tire and at full compression they like to grab onto the liners (same reason I relocated the wiring harnesses out of the stock position)

    :( you said "you guys"

anyway, I'll try and get a pic of the one we made (actually martin made the whole thing). just get a sheet of any type of durable but flexable plastic, cut it to fit into the opening (primarily to protect wiring harness) and then drill some random holes where you can actually put a bolt and washer through.

that would be super as actual fenderliners are kinda expensive (55 bucks before discount) and im sure this winter ill find myself running into snowbanks or doing something fun to test out the DCCD on the new 6speed im getting lol.

Did you start this thread to complain about fender liners? Or did you really start it to remind us you're getting a 6 speed?

    Damn you suck.

lol both??? no it was 2 bitch about how crapy they seem to be.. maybe its just my driving style is 2 violent haha idk. just thought maybe someone had come up wit some ingenious replacement for the seemingly weak fender liners. they are ok in the summer but they just dont handle the cold well.

I'm looking to make some custom inner fender liners, too, keep use updated if you go that route.
