I'm thinking your housewarming party should involve lots of guns and burning styrofoam ;)

Hey TSTRBOY, if you are thinking or going to do any soundproofing to any of your rooms, let me know. Now would be the time to do it, and I'm not talking about putting insualtion in the stud cavity. PM me if you want information or details. I'll give you product at my discount. That is going to be an awesome pad, by the way!

Did Fong come out to visit?

now that that's out of the way, are you having a low voltage contractor do any work?

yep... I gots me some children of the corn....

Low voltage.. as in home theater??? I was just out looking at stuff today... I am going to get a 42in Plasma Panasonic... and am looking for a decent home theater setup, and have to run wires to the rear speaker in the ceiling... and I need to know all the crap to hook it all up and stuff... Techy101 if you are ever down the area wanna let me know.. might get your thoughts... we are doing it on a budget.. nothing as radical as yours... but do it once, do it right...

so here are a few pics from today...

Looking real nice. Shoot me a PM when you're thinking of tossing wire in. Are the electricians pulling the rest of the LV wire? (coax, telephone, network, etc...)

yes.. should be done this week... mostly done already.. juts got to get them our vent/fans on monday....

we are gonna be down there talking with the contractor tomorrow after lunch if you are in the area...

dont go out of your way just for this... like I said we are on a small budget for this.. under $1K for the home theater.. so it will be a in a box special, but we found a nice setup at Ultimate electonics a while back... receiver, sub, 5 channels....

Pulling the wire for that ought to be uber-easy. Just don't spend a lot of money on the wire.

yeah... was just gonna run basic wire.. little thicker then the standard stuff... but nothing extravagant... its more the plates for all the connections etc... basically we are building a wall out from the wall, and adding slate... then building some shelving (slots) into the wall for the receiver & Dvd player etc... so everything will be run inside behind the walls...

I don't know all the codes, but I know how to yank on your wire....

    grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr..... baby grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

great thing is the wire except for 2 of them will only need to be less then 5 ft.... the other 2 maybe 10ft back from the wall in the ceiling...

wanna come see it today we will be heading down from Bloomington around 12pm
